Fast Retailing Announces Emergency Support for People Affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake

Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. offers its heartfelt condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, and extends its deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the disaster. The company would also like to express its deep respect for all those involved in rescue and relief efforts in the affected areas, and wishes for everyone's safety and the swift recovery of the region. The Fast Retailing Group will provide emergency support to people in the affected areas by supplying necessary clothing and other items in response to requests from local governments, NPOs, NGOs, and other support organizations.
Immediately after the earthquake occurred on Tuesday, July 28, Fast Retailing began preparing clothing assistance. As an initial response, the company has decided to donate 20,000 UNIQLO items, including AIRism products, through ARROWS, the disaster relief project operated by certified NPO Peace Winds Japan.
In addition, Fast Retailing will provide relief funds of approximately JPY 100 million to support the affected communities, and continue to provide clothing and other forms of support in response to requests from those affected as well as evolving local needs. Beyond immediate emergency relief, Fast Retailing is committed to supporting long-term recovery and reconstruction efforts through sustained and proactive initiatives.
Fast Retailing Group brands are also working together to restore operations at affected stores in the region so that customers can once again shop with peace of mind.
