The Fast Retailing Group will donate approximately 20 thousand articles of UNIQLO clothing, valued at roughly 30 million yen, to assist people in Thailand who have been seriously affected by the massive floods that recently swept through parts of the country. The donation will be distributed through The Chaipattana Foundation, which was established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The donation of UNIQLO apparel includes T-shirts, shirts, shorts and undergarments. In addition, UNIQLO (Thailand) Company Limited will also be donating 2 million Thai baht (approximately 5 million yen).

The clothing will be sent to Thailand from Japan with the cooperation of the Japan Relief Clothing Center (JRCC) in mid-November, when local relief operations will be ready to receive it. Once the items arrive in Thailand, they will be distributed by the Chaipattana Foundation mainly to people in rural areas and those who have been affected by the recent flooding.

The Fast Retailing Group hopes that its donation of clothing will help provide relief support to as many people in Thailand as possible. This initiative is part of the company's commitment to act as a global citizen and help people in need, in an ethical way and with integrity.
