Fast Retailing today announced that its global LifeWear brand, UNIQLO, has been ranked No. 38 in Interbrand's Best Global Brands 2026*1, one of the world's most influential assessments of brand value. UNIQLO's brand value grew 16% to US$20.5 billion, up from US$17.7 billion when UNIQLO debuted at No. 47 in 2025. In April 2026, Interbrand ranked UNIQLO among the top five of Interbrand's Best Japan Brands*2.

UNIQLO's rise reflects the growing worldwide appeal of its LifeWear apparel: timeless in style, high-quality, functional clothing designed to make everyday life better. That momentum is evident in Fast Retailing's 2026 business performance, with annual net profit rising 25.3%*1, driven by strong demand in North America and Europe, where combined revenue reached US$5.48 billion*3.

Commenting on the announcement, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer Koji Yanai said, "We are honored to be recognized in Interbrand's Best Global Brands 2026. We will continue to carefully create and deliver LifeWear that our customers can enjoy and cherish for years to come. Through these everyday efforts, we hope to earn the trust of each and every customer and become a brand that people around the world can believe in and support."

Interbrand's annual Best Global Brands study evaluates leading global brands through an analysis of their financial performance, the role of brand in purchase decisions and brand strength. The combined value of the brands in the 2026 ranking reached US$3.866 trillion, up 8.1% from US$3.575 trillion in 2025.

This year's report highlights a widening gap between brands that convert relevance, trust and distinctiveness into growth and those that rely on reputation alone, with the strongest performers translating brand strength into commercial momentum through innovation, customer experience, distinctive positioning and expansion into new areas of growth.

From the opening of its first store in Hiroshima, Japan, in 1984, UNIQLO has grown into a global brand with around 2,500 stores across 26 countries and regions. Through LifeWear, UNIQLO remains committed to creating clothing that is made for all and designed to improve the lives of its customers everywhere.
