UNIQLO’s first large-format store in Singapore, the 313@Somerset Store, will open Thursday, December 3, 2009. The store with a shop floor of approximately 1320sqm is UNIQLO’s third store in Singapore, introducing a host of new items to the Singapore market including baby items and the UNIQLO “ 
“ collection. Our large-format stores show off a richer range and variation of UNIQLO products at their very best.
First UNIQLO large-format store opens in Singapore
UNIQLO is to open its first large-format store, the 313@Somerset Store, in Somerset, Singapore on Thursday, December 3, 2009. This will be the company’s third store in Singapore after the Tampines One Store opened in April, and the ION Orchard Store that opened its doors in August. The 313@Somerset large-format store boasts a 1320sqm shop floor, promising the nation’s customers a fun and satisfying shopping experience.
UNIQLO began its global expansion in 2001 in the UK and now has store networks in the UK, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, USA and France. UNIQLO plans to open 8 stores in 3 years in Singapore, and is also considering future expansion into Singapore’s neighboring markets in South East Asia.

The 313@Somerset Store will house a rich range of garment lines. The UNIQLO “ “ Collection created in collaboration with fashion designer Ms. Jil Sander will be a key feature for the store, and Singapore customers will be able to enjoy the 2009 Fall/Winter season collection that has proved so popular around the world in Paris, London, New York and Tokyo. Customers will be treated to a rich display of items typical of our superior large-format store experience, with baby items introduced for the first time and some of new Spring/Summer 2010 items, which will be launched earlier than other countries.
