Celebrating 60 years in business  FAST RETAILING bumper campaign to thank customers

FAST RETAILING CO., LTD. celebrates its 60th year in business this year. And to mark the occasion, the company will be staging a campaign of thanks to our customers for their support from Saturday November 21 to December 31, 2009.
We eagerly await customers in our stores with a whole host of celebration events including a range of celebration campaign special price goods and our star feature celebration lucky cards winning ¥ 10,000 in cash for 100,000 customers - a bumper total give away of ¥ 1 billion.

This year marks the 60th anniversary since the establishment of Men’s Shop Ogori Shoji in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan in 1949, the predecessor to today’s FAST RETAILING CO., LTD. This year also marks another important milestone, the 25th anniversary of the birth of UNIQLO. The first ever UNIQLO store was opened in Hiroshima at 6.00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 1984. Back then we treated customers who had been queuing up since early in the morning to a breakfast of red bean doughnuts and milk. 
For 2009, the FAST RETAILING group is planning all sorts of events to express its gratitude to customers on this the 60th anniversary of the founding of FAST RETAILING and the 25th anniversary for the UNIQLO brand.

 ¥ 1bln to give away in lucky card presents of ¥ 10,000 cash to 100,000 UNIQLO or CABIN customers

The central feature of our celebration campaign is our one billion yen in lucky cards. We will present UNIQLO and group company CABIN customers at ZAZIE and enraciné stores with lucky cards throughout the campaign period for each ¥ 5,000 purchase in store (¥ 10,000 at our UNIQLO online store). ¥ 10,000 in cash will be presented on the spot to 100,000 lucky winners.

 A multitude of celebration campaign special price goods for UNIQLO and g.u. customers

We have prepared a range of celebration campaign special price goods at our UNIQLO stores (including online UNIQLO store) and our g.u. stores. The first round will focus on sweatshirts. Regularly fixed at the particularly low price of ¥ 990, customers will be able to buy our sweatshirts at an even lower special price of ¥ 690 for the week of Saturday, November 21 to Friday, November 27, 2009. We have also prepared a weekly rotation of other special price goods spanning the whole campaign period through December 31, 2009.

 Bargains throughout December - 31 whole days of daily limited goods for UNIQLO, CABIN and g.u. customers

We will be staging a 31-day campaign of daily limited goods from December 1 to December 31, 2009 in our UNIQLO, g.u., and CABIN stores (ZAZIE, enraciné, etc.)

 UNIQLO stores to open from 6.00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009

We will be opening 400 mainly roadside UNIQLO stores around Japan at 6.00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 and remembering our original business spirit in the early days. We have prepared many super feature products for sale at the early morning store openings including a full range of special price HEATTECH items for ¥ 600 (up to 3 items each for the first 200 customers). We will also be offering a red bean doughnut and milk breakfast to the first 100 customers.

We have planned a joint event for all UNIQLO stores across Japan for Saturday November 21, 2009, where we will present the first 100 customers across UNIQLO stores to buy goods to the value of ¥ 5,000 and above with an original celebration tote bag.
