A Global Market of Eight Billion

Thanks to rising global support for LifeWear, Fast Retailing is on the cusp of what I would venture to call a boom in corporate growth. At last, I can confidently say that our goal of "becoming a truly global brand that customers across the globe love best" is no longer simply a dream, but a very real possibility.

In the six months from September 2025 through February 2026, Fast Retailing achieved its highest first-half performance on record by reporting revenue of 2.0552 trillion yen (+14.8% year on year) and business profit of 386.9 billion yen (28.3%). All UNIQLO operations continued to generate strong growth, with operations in North America, Europe, South Korea, and the Southeast Asia, India and Australia region all reporting double-digit revenue and profit growth, and Greater China markets achieving higher revenue and double-digit profit growth.

Today, people around the world are starting to recognize LifeWear as a new standard in clothing. What customers want and expect from their clothes has changed dramatically. Now, more and more people want to wear clothes carefully and for a long time. They also want those clothes to be attentively crafted in trusted factories, to be made from reliable materials that were procured safely and appropriately, and to be recycled and reused. These changing trends are driving the global boom for our business, and Fast Retailing is perfectly positioned to make the very most of the huge opportunities before us.

While unrelenting conflict continues around the world, cross-border corporate activities are becoming increasingly connected. As lifestyles converge globally, more and more products that sell well in a particular geographical area also sell well elsewhere, creating one single market. When we set out to become No.1 in Japan, our market was 120 million people. Today, we serve a global market with eight billion consumers, and it will be the companies with the courage to go out into the world and become best-loved brands that will triumph in the end. I am absolutely convinced about that.

In spring 2026, Fast Retailing formed a historic partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, channeling our mutual strengths into various community contribution activities to help create a better world. This is the first such partnership between the Dodgers and an overseas company, and we are determined to participate in even more activities that support local communities worldwide.
