Fast Retailing Announces Emergency Clothing Support for People Affected by the Large-Scale Fire in Saganoseki, Oita City

Fast Retailing would like to express its heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the recent large-scale fire in Saganoseki, Oita City.
On November 18, a major fire broke out in Oita City, burning approximately 170 buildings in the Saganoseki area. Many residents are still spending anxious days in evacuation shelters, and daily life has been severely disrupted.
In response to requests from customers in Oita City and feedback from store staff, UNIQLO parent company Fast Retailing will provide emergency clothing support to people currently staying in evacuation shelters in the city. In coordination with Peace Winds Japan, a certified NPO working in the affected area, the company will urgently deliver over 1,000 winter items, including outerwear and HEATTECH garments.
Fast Retailing sincerely hopes for the swift recovery of the affected areas, and that those impacted can return to their daily lives as soon as possible. The company will continue to engage in disaster recovery assistance activities wherever they are needed around the world.
