Fast Retailing USA to Support Areas Affected by Wildfires in California

Fast Retailing offers its heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the recent wildfires in California. The company would like to express its respect and gratitude for those who are working hard to extinguish fires, rescue people, and help those in affected areas rebuild their lives. Fast Retailing wishes for the safety and speedy return to normality for all those affected.

UNIQLO Co., Ltd., Fast Retailing USA Co., Ltd., UNIQLO USA, Inc., GU USA LLC and Theory LLC will donate up to US$1 million worth of LifeWear items and US$1 million of relief funds in emergency aid. From these commitments, Fast Retailing USA, along with other Fast Retailing Group brands UNIQLO, GU, and Theory, will provide the following initial assistance for people affected by the fires:

(1) Clothing support
UNIQLO and Theory donated approximately 1,750 pieces of clothing (Including kids' Fleece Jackets, HEATTECH Leggings, and AIRsm T-shirts) to those affected by the disaster through the Los Angeles Mission. In addition, on Sunday January 19 and Sunday January 26, UNIQLO will distribute clothing worth US$70,000, including HEATTECH shirts, sweatshirts, socks, and underwear free of charge through five UNIQLO stores in Los Angeles. These donations are an extension of itsThe Heart of LifeWear global initiative to donate one million new items of HEATTECH thermal clothing to people in need around the world.

  • UNIQLO Santa Monica Place
  • UNIQLO Topanga

(2) Monetary donations
Fast Retailing USA will donate US$25,000 to the California Fire Foundation (CalFire). In addition, donations will be collected from customers* through UNIQLO, GU and Theory stores and online stores throughout the United States to support the LA Regional Food Bank and Feeding America, and Fast Retailing USA will match customer donations up to $100,000.
*From January 11 to 31, 2025, 90% of all donations will go to supporting The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank with 10% going to Feeding America.

Following these preliminary responses to the emergency, UNIQLO Co., Ltd. will continue to identify and assess community needs in affected areas, allocating resources from its pledge to provide additional clothing aid, and reconstruction assistance needed.
