The UNEP Sustainability Action Kick Off Dialogue - Postponed

The UNEP Sustainability Action-Kickoff Dialogue, scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 5th, has been postponed due to the recent outbreak of new coronavirus infections in Japan from the perspective of preventing the spread of infections.

Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. will participate in the UNEP Sustainability Action Kick Off Dialogue organized by the United Nations Environment Programme, which takes place on 5th March 2020. The event will take first, crucial steps in the transition to a more sustainable future by disseminating sustainability actions widely across the world. UNEP sustainability action aims towards an integrated approach to sustainability with a focus on the environment, "Eco-friendly lifestyle to save our Planet. At the Kick Off Dialogue, UNEP, the Government of Japan, Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., and Seven & i Holdings, Co., Ltd will present their perspectives and actions related to sustainability.

1. Background
The world faces a critical moment in tackling the multiple challenges of climate change, conservation of biodiversity, and responsible use of resources. Transforming our world to a more sustainable future requires not only high-level dialogue but real actions in our daily lives. UNEP Sustainability Action is building an international and intersectoral network connecting UN organizations, governments, business, academia and citizens to promote sustainability with a particular focus on global environmental issues and resource efficiency.
