Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the worldwide release of four new designs for its ongoing PEACE FOR ALL charity T-shirt project. The new T-shirts feature designs from volunteer contributors including former Major League Baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki and actor Koji Yakusho, star of the celebrated film Perfect Days. All profits from sales of PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts are donated to international humanitarian organizations - UNHCR, Save the Children and Plan International - to use across global peace projects. The four new designs will be available from Friday, June 20.

The PEACE FOR ALL project features T-shirts with designs expressing a wish for peace, provided voluntarily by friends of UNIQLO who support the aim of "taking action for world peace."

Among the new lineup, Ichiro Suzuki's T-shirt portrays a door being knocked upon - capturing the excitement and joy of finding something you love, and stepping forward to take on a challenge. Koji Yakusho's T-shirt features a memorable scene from the movie Perfect Days, for which he won the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival, along with a line from the film: "Next time is next time, now is now." Additionally, in response to favorable customer reviews, two additional new designs have been created by two existing collaborators: Akamai Technologies and Kashiwa Sato.

The PEACE FOR ALL project, launched in June 2022, features graphic T-shirts with designs expressing a wish for peace, which are provided voluntarily by contributors with close ties to UNIQLO who support the aim of "taking action with a desire for world peace." All profits from sales of PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts are donated to international humanitarian organizations. More than 6.6 million shirts sold, raising more than US$12.8 million* in donations (Figures as of January 2025.) The funds raised are provided to three partner organizations to support emergency humanitarian assistance, to protect the lives of displaced people around the world, and to aid children who are facing difficult circumstances due to conflicts or other issues.

PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts

Collaborator's commentsT shirt design
  • Akamai Technologies(Cloud Company)
More than 25 years ago, Akamai helped make the internet we know today possible. This shirt's design is a callback to those early days of life online. The light tan color is a reference to the "beige box" plastic casings that housed the early internet computers, and the heart on the front represents how the internet has been used for good all over the world. On the back of the T-shirt is real code. It's a reference to Linux, the open-source language of the internet. This common language unites Akamai with the world's top brands and the people they serve, as we work together toward a vision of a safer and more connected world.

  • Ichiro Suzuki(Seattle Mariners)
Find what you love and open the door. Beyond, a wonderful world surely awaits.

  • Kashiwa Sato(Creative Director)
I designed my T-shirt to convey the concept of PEACE, straight and simple. The repeated call for PEACE FOR ALL represents the feelings and voices of many people worldwide. It expresses a strong and heartfelt desire for a peaceful world.

  • Koji Yakusho(Actor)
"Next time is next time. Now is now." Mr. Hirayama, the main character in the movie "PERFECT DAYS", says this line to his niece who has run away from home. What did he want to convey? That if you live your life cherishing every moment - neither in the past nor in the future, grateful for everything - the pain in your heart can disappear? It's a line that stays with you.
