Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the worldwide release of four new designs for its ongoing PEACE FOR ALL charity T-shirt project. The new T-shirts feature designs from volunteer contributors including former Major League Baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki and actor Koji Yakusho, star of the celebrated film Perfect Days. All profits from sales of PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts are donated to international humanitarian organizations - UNHCR, Save the Children and Plan International - to use across global peace projects. The four new designs will be available from Friday, June 20.
The PEACE FOR ALL project features T-shirts with designs expressing a wish for peace, provided voluntarily by friends of UNIQLO who support the aim of "taking action for world peace."
Among the new lineup, Ichiro Suzuki's T-shirt portrays a door being knocked upon - capturing the excitement and joy of finding something you love, and stepping forward to take on a challenge. Koji Yakusho's T-shirt features a memorable scene from the movie Perfect Days, for which he won the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival, along with a line from the film: "Next time is next time, now is now." Additionally, in response to favorable customer reviews, two additional new designs have been created by two existing collaborators: Akamai Technologies and Kashiwa Sato.
The PEACE FOR ALL project, launched in June 2022, features graphic T-shirts with designs expressing a wish for peace, which are provided voluntarily by contributors with close ties to UNIQLO who support the aim of "taking action with a desire for world peace." All profits from sales of PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts are donated to international humanitarian organizations. More than 6.6 million shirts sold, raising more than US$12.8 million* in donations (Figures as of January 2025.) The funds raised are provided to three partner organizations to support emergency humanitarian assistance, to protect the lives of displaced people around the world, and to aid children who are facing difficult circumstances due to conflicts or other issues.
