UNIQLO Holds Next Gen Development Program with Roger Federer to Personally Coach Britain's Most Talented Young Players

Global apparel retailer, UNIQLO, hosted a special tennis event this week in London. Featuring UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador and tennis legend, Roger Federer, the event was a unique coaching clinic to provide some of Britain's best young tennis talent the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hone their skills alongside one of history's greatest in the sport. The event was part of UNIQLO's broader Next Generation Program; its ongoing work with the full panel of UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassadors to generate social progress by developing young people through sport.

The Next Gen Development Program with Roger Federer was held on 20 September at The O2, London, prior to the Laver Cup tournament, where UNIQLO is official apparel sponsor, providing uniforms for all on-site and on-court roles. Eight of Britain's best young tennis talent took part-junior national champions (under 14 girls & boys and under 12 girls & boys) At the event, Roger Federer and his coach of 15 years, Severin Luthi, provided coaching and mentoring for participating junior tennis players, as well as a meet-and-greet session for a wider audience of young tennis fans.

Speaking at the launch event, UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador Roger Federer said, "I was delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to UNIQLO's Next Gen Development initiative. I hope that the event will not only improve the children's tennis skills but also provide an opportunity to encourage everyone who participated to pursue their dreams."
