Renewed UNIQLO GINZA Opening on September 17 - Global flagship store invites customers to experience New Life, New Wear, New GINZA

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces that the renovated UNIQLO GINZA, a global flagship store first opened almost 10 years ago, will reopen on Friday, September 17. Designed around the concept of "New Life, New Wear, New GINZA," the store is brimming with special amenities and aesthetic sense across all 12 floors, including artistic installations that express the LifeWear brand philosophy, special salons for women's innerwear and for suits, and a café.

A new global flagship store
The entire UNIQLO GINZA store, from 1F to 12F, has been refurbished around the concept of "New Life, New Wear, New GINZA." The stylish sales areas, expert staff, and high-quality services create a new global flagship store where customers are able to experience UNIQLO's aesthetic sense and commitment to making clothing, while they shop.

Installations on each floor showcase the Art and Science of LifeWear
UNIQLO LifeWear is simple, high-quality everyday wear that enhances the lives of all people with a practical sense of beauty and sophisticated design. Installations have been created on each floor to convey the appeal of this concept at a glance.

At the first-floor entrance, customers are welcomed by a pendulum art installation that uses 20 different colors of cashmere knits. The fourth floor features the work "Hitobito Iroiro" (literally "all sorts of people") by architect, artist and designer Emmanuelle Moureaux, which expresses the joy of wearing one's favorite items of clothing, and the richness of colors. Among the many other highlights is an installation conveying the functionality of such representative UNIQLO products as Ultra Light Down, 3D Knit, and HEATTECH, and a floor to learn about sustainability.

New shopping experiences
UNIQLO GINZA newly offers a comprehensive range of services and LifeWear experiences, such as salons with specially trained staff providing the highest level of customers service, an in-store café offering UNIQLO's first original coffee, and a photo booth where customers can take commemorative photos in front of an original backdrop. The store also features the popular UNIQLO FLOWER Shop.

Original goods sold in collaboration with well-known Ginza stores
UNIQLO GINZA will sell T-shirts, tote bags, and other exclusive items developed in collaboration with long-established and popular shops in the Ginza district. It will also sell specialty items from each store, such as stationery from ITOYA, incense from Kyukyodo, and handicrafts from Ginza Takumi, working in collaboration with the local community to communicate the traditions and culture of Ginza and Tokyo to the world.

Special Promotions to Celebrate the Reopening*
On the opening day (September 17), the first 3,200 visitors to the store will receive as a gift an adzuki-bean roll from Ginza Kimuraya. During the period of September 17-20, the first customers on each day to spend 10,000 yen or more will receive an original mug as a gift. In addition, customers who purchase items at the UNIQLO GINZA Store will receive their items in a special shopping bag.

* From September 17 (Friday) to September 20 (Monday), the store opening time is 10:00 a.m.
* Customers cannot choose the color of the mug. A total of 2,000 mugs will be given away over the four-day period.
* Promotion ends when supplies are depleted.

Specialist staff to enhance customer service, and special salons
UNIQLO GINZA has specially trained professional staff on each floor able to convey to customers the quality, added value, and craftsmanship of LifeWear, and provide the highest levels of customer service.

The 6th floor features the INTIMATE WEAR SALON, a dedicated floor for women's innerwear, while the CUSTOM ORDER SALON on the 10th floor allows customers to select perfectly fitting suits with the feel of being tailor made. Staff with specialist knowledge and skills are available to handle customer issues and requests, and recommend the optimal products.

Enjoy premium UNIQLO COFFEE
On the top 12th floor is UNIQLO COFFEE, an in-store café offering UNIQLO's first original coffee. Customers can enjoy an exclusive premium blend coffee freshly made from the highest quality beans, available along with sweets from the long-established Ginza area confectionery shop Ginza West, all at a reasonable price.

UNIQLO GINZA will feature UNIQLO FLOWER, the popular flower shop also found at such locations as UNIQLO Tokyo and the Asakusa store, offering a wide variety of flowers at an affordable price.

UNIQLO PHOTO BOOTH on the dedicated UT floor
The 11th floor is exclusively for UT, the T-shirt brand reflecting the latest in pop culture, filled with stylings from various artists and popular content themes. This floor also features a UNIQLO PHOTO BOOTH, a space for customers to take commemorative photos in front of an original UNIQLO GINZA backdrop.

Live commerce from the store
UNIQLO operates UNIQLO LIVE STATION, a live commerce service where customers can watch a livestream broadcast and instantly purchase their favorite items. As a new initiative for this service, the sales space in UNIQLO GINZA will be used to regularly stream information on featured products. Staff will present the main features of products and recommended stylings in a live online broadcast, and customers will be able to send them questions and comments in real time to enjoy an interactive shopping experience.

"Made in TOKYO 3D Knits" available for sale
UNIQLO's 3D Knits, which make full use of WHOLEGARMENT® technology to create seamless knitwear with beautiful silhouettes and exceptional comfort, are a representative LifeWear item. As a special promotion, UNIQLO GINZA will offer for sale a limited number of Made in TOKYO 3D Knits produced at UNIQLO's Innovation Factory in Tokyo, established in April 2021.
