UNIQLO, the Japanese global apparel retailer, began general ticket sales at noon on October 6 for the UNIQLO LifeWear Day Tokyo charity tennis match scheduled for October 14, 2019. UNIQLO sincerely apologizes for the considerable delay in the start of ticket sales.

The guest player who will face Roger Federer in the men's singles tournament has yet to be determined, and UNIQLO apologies to all those eagerly awaiting the announcement of his opponent. As soon as the guest player is decided, a notice will be made on the UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador website. There will be no other changes in the players scheduled to appear. Other Global Brand Ambassadors will attend the event, including Kei Nishikori (who will not participate due to an injury), as well as professional golfer Adam Scott, and snowboarder Ayumu Hirano.

UNIQLO will donate a portion of the revenue from the event to organizations it supports, including 1). the Special Olympics, an international sports organization that provides sports training and recognition of achievements for persons with intellectual disabilities; 2). the Setouchi Olive Foundation, an organization working to preserve and restore the natural coastal environment of Japan's Inland Sea; 3). Charity Water, a New York-based NPO that provides clean and safe water for people facing serious water shortages; and 4). the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), the international aid organization for refugees and evacuees displaced by war or conflict. UNIQLO will also ask visitors attending the tennis match to vote for organizations they would like the company to support.
