UNIQLO to Continue Expansion in German Market

Opening of New Store in Berlin Planned for Fall 2015

UNIQLO CO., LTD.

UNIQLO today announces plans to open a new store in Berlin in Fall 2015, as part of the company's plans to continue to expand across Germany and indeed Europe. The store will be the second store in the German market, and it will be located on Leipziger Platz Quartier, the newly developed shopping area between Potsdamer Platz and Leipziger Platz, which is home to many international fashion and lifestyle brands.

The new store on Leipziger Platz Quartier will have a total sales floor area of approximately 1,600 square meters over two levels - ground floor and first floor - and will offer a full line of men's, women's and kid's clothing. UNIQLO entered the German market in April 2014 with the opening of a global flagship store on Berlin's popular shopping mile Tauentzienstrasse.

"In Berlin, we have recently celebrated the first anniversary of our store on Tauentzienstrasse. It is exciting to recognize the great fit between UNIQLO, our LifeWear and our philosophy of customer service with Germany's appreciation of quality, functionality and value for money," said Berndt Hauptkorn, Fast Retailing Group Officer and CEO of UNIQLO Europe. "Our new store at Leipziger Platz is a second and important step for our expansion in Berlin. We are pleased with our success so far in Berlin, which marks the beginning of our aim to grow our presence further in Germany and the larger German speaking region."
