UNIQLO Australia has today revealed five stylish Australians who will join Adam Scott as Ambassadors, and announced that it will open its first Australian store on 16 April.

Newly appointed UNIQLO Australia Brand Ambassadors Sophie Lowe, Andrew McConnell, Jessica Watson, Rone, and Sara Donaldson are teaming up with Adam Scott - appointed as a UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador in April 2013 - to celebrate the arrival of popular items from the LifeWear Autumn/Winter 2014 range at the Melbourne CBD-based UNIQLO POP UP. Each renowned for their significant professional achievements, the Ambassadors will come together to embody their unique experiences and style through the LifeWear range, and feature in UNIQLO's first advertising campaign, as the brand brings its high quality and affordable style to the market.

Collectively, they will give Australians a taste of what to expect when the first Australian store opens at The Emporium on Wednesday 16 April.

Adam Scott, celebrated golfer, UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador, and the first Australian to win the US Masters, will also take on the role of Australian Ambassador. On 26 August 2013, Scott was ranked 2nd on the 'Official World Golf Ranking', after being placed within the top 10 for over 270 weeks in his career. He now has his sights set on the #1 spot.

Sophie Lowe, actress, is best known for her outstanding performances in the critically acclaimed Australian film, Beautiful Kate and popular ABC drama, The Slap.

Jessica Watson OAM, 2011 Young Australian of the Year, captured the hearts of Australians when she sailed around the world non-stop and unassisted at the age of sixteen. Watson was also awarded the Jane Tate trophy, as the first female skipper to cross the line in the 2011 Sydney to Hobart.

Andrew McConnell, chef and owner of iconic and acclaimed Melbourne restaurants Cumulus Inc. and Cutler & Co. Both restaurants have been featured in the Australian Good Food Guide since their conception and been met with praise from both food critics and lovers alike.

Rone, renowned Melbourne-based artist, became famous for his lavish paintings of alluring women. Rone's work has integrated into the city's culture and has become an irreplaceable addition to the Melburnian cityscape.

Sara Donaldson, 24 year old blogger who's captured the attention of fashionistas everywhere with her popular fashion blog, Harper and Harley. Over the past five years Donaldson has worked with many international and local brands, such as Swarovski, Gucci, and Witchery. Harper and Harley has cemented itself as one of Australia's leading style blogs.

"Lifewear really encapsulates the diverse lifestyles that each of us lead. The philosophy of the range is clothing that's designed for everyone, everyday - and, while the six of us couldn't be more different, the comfort, style, and durability of the clothes complement all of our lifestyles perfectly", said Sophie Lowe.

Commenting on today's announcement Shoichi Miyasaka, CEO of UNIQLO Australia and a Fast Retailing Group Senior Vice President, said: "We are extremely excited to open the first Australian store on 16 April and to have these talented professionals join the UNIQLO family. Their combined and contrasting life experiences resonate with the ethos of LifeWear, and each of their individual styles are a perfect representation of what UNIQLO stands for."
