Fast Retailing Provides Emergency Relief for Tropical Storm Etau

Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. ("Fast Retailing") today announces that from September 11 it has been providing emergency relief for those impacted by Tropical Storm Etau, which has caused widespread damage across Joso City in Ibaraki Prefecture and Tochigi City in Tochigi Prefecture.

Among the support, at the request of the city of Tsukuba Mirai, which is hosting many of those evacuated due to the storm, Fast Retailing is providing 2,400 items of innerwear to the evacuation center.

According to media reports, at least three people have died, 27 are injured, and 26 missing, with hundreds stranded and 100,000 evacuated from their homes. The Japan Meteorological Agency has called the downpour, which hit central Japan mid last week, "unprecedented".
