WHO WE ARE

BECOME A GLOBAL LEADER THROUGH REAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

01 OVERVIEW

LEADERS WHO CAN PLAY
AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THE WORLD

Our mission at UNIQLO is to deliver LifeWear to people throughout the world, and to grow together with society. Adhering to the concept of ‘MADE FOR ALL’, it is our job to provide truly good clothing to all customers globally, regardless of nationality, gender, age, or religion.

We build global leaders who are capable of independent thinking and decision-making, even in times of rapid change - leaders who will motivate and engage others, take decisive action, and achieve results with their team.

You will start your career as a UNIQLO Management Candidate (UMC) by aiming to become the manager of a store as quickly as possible. From there, you will expand further afield to take on the challenge of running larger stores, or working in corporate or international positions as a global leader.

UNIQLO MANAGEMENT CANDIDATE

IT ALL STARTS WITH MANAGING A STORE

A global leader needs to be able to consider and execute business decisions on their own initiative. The greatest feature of the UMC program is that, immediately after joining the company, you will be assigned to the front lines of store management, and will undertake a 9-12 month* intensive training program to become a store manager. (*This term depends on the region)

  • A FULLY MERIT-BASED ORGANIZATION

UNIQLO follows a merit-based approach: if you have the talent, regardless of when you joined the company or your age, even after just a few years you may be entrusted with the management of a large-scale store.

  • LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

To lead in business, you need to enlist the help of others and obtain their cooperation. Along with customers and staff, you will need to engage with all stakeholders - including upper management, headquarters, local communities, and partner companies - working together with colleagues from different cultures and nationalities. Through this engagement, you will acquire the talents of a global leader and, in coordination with others, be able to achieve ambitious goals anywhere in the world.

  • DEVELOP AN ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET

In a business environment where success rests entirely on you, by embracing challenges and problem-solving every day without fear of failure, you will be able to significantly hone your decision-making skills, and play a central role as a truly world-leading manager.
We are looking for people who are passionate and set ambitious goals, to together fulfill our mission of "Changing clothes, Changing conventional wisdom, Change the world."

  • WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE
  • PASSIONATE AND SET AMBITIOUS GOALS,
  • TO ACHIEVE OUR MISSION
  • "CHANGING CLOTHES.
  • CHANGING CONVENTIONAL WISDOM.
  • CHANGE THE WORLD."

02 CAREER
OPPORTUNITIES

At UNIQLO, each person designs their own career. Regardless of your age or nationality, you will have opportunities to build on management experience cultivated at stores for further expansion and growth, including through overseas and headquarters assignments. Working overseas offers further growth potential as you embrace the challenge of management in a business environment with differences in culture, language, and backgrounds. At the headquarters, you will support stores by solving problems in a specialized department. Throughout your career as a global leader, you will have the opportunity to engage with many different aspects of management.
