We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to everyone who has been affected by the recent heavy rains in Akita Prefecture.
The rains that began on July 14 flooded and damaged many homes, especially in Akita City, and many people today continue to live in evacuation centers and face major disruptions to their daily lives. As of July 25, 2,430 homes in the prefecture have suffered damage, of which 1,300 are in Akita City.
In response to an appeal from the city, the Fast Retailing Group will provide emergency clothing assistance to those mainly living in the city's evacuation center. A total of 1,200 items, including T-shirts, bottoms, and underwear, will be provided as soon as possible.
We sincerely hope that the affected areas will recover and everyone impacted by the flooding will return to their daily lives as soon as possible.
The Fast Retailing Group will continue to engage in support activities needed throughout the world.
