UNIQLO, the Japanese global apparel retailer, today announces that it will open its first store in Amsterdam on Friday, 28 September 2018. Located in the heart of the city center on Kalverstraat 11, the store will also have an entrance at Rokin 12 and will feature a total sales floor of approximately 2,040 square meters across three levels. The new store in Amsterdam will be the biggest UNIQLO store in the Benelux region and one of the company's largest in Europe.

"The people of Amsterdam enjoy wearing functional, but well-designed, high-quality clothes. At UNIQLO we share the same values, and it is exactly these qualities that we have incorporated in our LifeWear," said Taku Morikawa, Chief Executive Officer of UNIQLO Europe. "We are confident that there is a great fit between our brand and Dutch customers, and with UNIQLO Kalverstraat opening on 28 September, we look forward to starting a long and successful relationship with communities in the Netherlands," he added.

At the time of opening, UNIQLO Kalverstraat will showcase the Fall/Winter 2018 LifeWear collection for men, women and kids. Among the newly designed seasonal items, customers will also find UNIQLO U created by the design team at the UNIQLO Paris R&D Center, led by Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire.
