Job Description
At UNIQLO, in addition to our traditional communications centered on paid media such as promotions and advertising, we are placing greater emphasis on disseminating information through earned media, with a focus on PR and digital channels. We are developing and implementing new communication strategies designed to make a global impact and gain acceptance worldwide. The PR organization plays a pivotal role at the core of these efforts, and we are seeking PR professionals capable of planning and executing a wide range of communication strategies.
■ Mission of This Position
You will develop and execute PR and communication plans designed to increase awareness of UNIQLO’s general product lineup and specific projects—such as collaborations—and drive sales growth. We expect you to help customers understand, through the media and stakeholders, that UNIQLO is a brand with a unique philosophy of clothing design not found elsewhere, and to grow the fan base for UNIQLO’s “LifeWear” concept.
■Job Description
Based on UNIQLO’s brand concept, “LifeWear,” you will contribute to maximizing sales by planning and executing communication strategies for individual products and projects.
Specifically,
・Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute PR strategies
・ Planning and executing events and promotions, such as trade shows and preview events
・Building cooperative relationships with various media outlets (including newspapers, TV, and publishers) and diverse stakeholders
• Quantifying the effectiveness of PR activities and providing accurate internal feedback on external feedback and insights
■ What Makes This Role Exciting
As a global brand with over 2,000 stores across 26 countries and regions, including Japan, this role serves as the “face of the brand” for UNIQLO. As the PR lead for the Japanese market, you will drive the planning and execution of communication initiatives. This is a high-impact role focused on enhancing brand value, growing our fan base, and driving dramatic business growth.
