Job Description

■Recruitment Background
As our company accelerates its global expansion under the guiding principle of “Global One: Management by All,” the International Tax Specialist will be responsible for optimizing organizational structures from an international tax perspective, managing cross-border reorganizations,transfer pricing compliance, and assessing the associated customs implications—all from an international tax perspective. While these responsibilities form the core of the role—including formulating optimal strategies for the Group and its global operations, providing support and guidance to Group companies, and managing international tax risks through negotiations with local authorities—we expect you to go beyond the role of a mere tax professional. As a business professional, you will be expected to demonstrate problem-solving skills that have a significant impact on the entire Group.Fluency in English is essential for this role, and candidates must possess the courage to take the lead in engaging in in-depth discussions not only with authorities in various countries but also with executives in those countries.

Based on the missions outlined above, you will be entrusted with the specific duties listed below. In carrying out these duties, we strongly emphasize the ability to make sound judgments, act swiftly, and demonstrate flexibility in responding to a rapidly changing environment.

a) Transfer pricing compliance
b) Handling international tax issues at domestic and overseas group companies
c) Cross-border organizational restructuring (share transfers, liquidations, organizational structure conversions, etc.)
d) Coordination and consolidation with various internal departments, including overseas group companies
e) Handling tax audits
f) Customs compliance
g) Consolidated tax filing
h) Handling bilateral consultations (APA)
i) Risk management from the perspective of the CFC tax regime (tax havens)
j) BEPS Compliance (Preparation of CbCR = Country-by-Country Report)

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・At least 3 years of experience as a transfer pricing consultant or in international tax operations at a corporate entity
・Business-level English proficiency
・Experience with cross-border organizational restructuring
・Experience in consolidated tax reporting
*There will be opportunities to travel overseas and communicate in English with relevant departments at overseas subsidiaries and related organizations

■ Desirable Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience at a tax consulting firm
・Certified Public Tax Accountant (CPTA)
・Ability to think flexibly from a business perspective

Full-time Employee (Permanent position, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8–20 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000–1,000,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

■ Working Hours
Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position

・Flexible work schedule
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00 (Overtime may be required)

・Supervisors
Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave and bereavement leave, childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
