To deliver “LifeWear” to customers around the world, UNIQLO is expanding its business globally—beyond Japan and Asia to include Europe and the Americas. Within this context, the Global IMD (In-store Merchandising) Department is responsible for enhancing the customer experience through store layout and merchandising in stores worldwide, playing a vital role in bridging global management with regional operations.

As our business globalizes, the importance of smooth and accurate communication in both Japanese and English among executive management, country and regional leaders, and related departments has become increasingly critical. For this position, we are seeking a dedicated interpreter to support the IMD Executive Officer’s communication in Japanese and English, thereby facilitating organizational operations and decision-making.

Department Overview:

The Global IMD Department, to which you will be assigned, is responsible for visual merchandising (VMD) at UNIQLO stores worldwide. Through spatial design and product displays, the department creates stores that are “easy to see, easy to choose, and easy to buy” for customers, aiming to maximize the appeal of products and boost sales. In addition to conceptual design for approximately 2,500 stores worldwide, our responsibilities as the global headquarters span a wide range of areas, including planning special events at flagship stores and conducting VMD training both domestically and internationally. Through store spaces, we convey the “LifeWear” philosophy—the “ultimate everyday wear” that combines simple design with superior functionality and appeals to people of all ages, cultures, and styles—to the world.
