As the company continues to expand its global operations, GU is required to develop products that offer low prices while maintaining the quality standards of the Fast Retailing Group. To achieve this, we are seeking a candidate who can leverage their expertise in quality control to not only ensure the quality of individual products but also contribute to the development of a global quality management system.
Specifically, during the sample stage—from material selection to finalizing specifications—you will determine the quality standards for each product by reviewing various inspection results, evaluation data based on simulated real-world use, and the quality inspection criteria for mass production.
You will also be expected to collect and analyze post-sale customer feedback, identify quality-related issues, and use this insight to drive improvements for future products. By collaborating with the MD, R&D, and e-commerce departments, as well as partner factories and testing agencies, you will drive quality improvements and play a key role in supporting the overall product quality and brand trust of the business.
Additionally, depending on your career aspirations and aptitude, you may have the opportunity to broaden your scope of work into areas such as production merchandising, material development, or quality projects with overseas locations.

The Production Department, to which you will be assigned, focuses on product production planning and quality control to bring product concepts to life and optimize the entire supply chain for production. By leveraging strong partnerships with overseas garment and fabric manufacturers, we create products that combine high quality with low prices.Job Description
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will comprehensively verify materials, designs, and manufacturing conditions in accordance with quality standards and relevant regulations, and be responsible for finalizing quality labeling information, including care labels. The primary role of this position is to give tangible form to the brand’s quality standards so that product characteristics are accurately communicated and customers can wear our products with confidence for years to come.Specifically, during the sample stage—from material selection to finalizing specifications—you will determine the quality standards for each product by reviewing various inspection results, evaluation data based on simulated real-world use, and the quality inspection criteria for mass production.

Qualifications
Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Practical experience in quality control or quality assurance at an apparel company or a third-party testing organization (approximately 5 years or more)
- Experience proactively engaging with products and production processes to drive quality improvements
- Experience identifying defects and quality issues, logically analyzing their causes based on data, physical samples, and actual conditions, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Experience driving projects as part of a team while communicating smoothly with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience providing quality guidance and process improvements to manufacturing departments or partner factories
- Experience driving quality improvements through cross-departmental coordination and by engaging relevant stakeholders
- Knowledge of and experience implementing quality management systems such as ISO 9001
- Candidates holding the TES (Textile Product Quality Control Specialist) certification
