Job Description

■Recruitment Background
As the Fast Retailing Group continues to grow and transform with the goal of becoming the world’s number one, the Finance Department is expected to take responsibility for the numbers as a driver of profit growth. It must lead transformation and problem-solving by organically linking each company and department through a dual perspective that combines a company-wide overview with an on-the-ground view.To drive this forward, we are not seeking candidates specialized in specific areas of planning and management (such as accounting, finance, tax, IR, strategic planning, or procurement). Instead, we are looking for individuals who possess specialized expertise while also being able to identify and solve problems from a company-wide and cross-departmental perspective—those who aspire to become future CFOs or aim to be management talent and global leaders in their specialized fields.

■ Department Overview
The Planning and Management Department, the finance division of the Fast Retailing Group, consists of teams responsible for accounting, finance, tax, IR, business planning, procurement, and finance process transformation.Each team not only drives business growth within its respective specialized field but also works collaboratively across disciplines to identify business challenges based on data and on-the-ground realities, and to promote problem-solving that involves other business units and functions. Additionally, the department drives low-cost, high-efficiency management; establishes internal controls befitting a company aiming to be the global No. 1; and promotes the construction of highly efficient operations and process transformation under the "Global One" framework.
This is a department where you can play a wide range of roles, going beyond your current area of expertise to lead problem-solving from a cross-functional and company-wide perspective, thereby contributing to business growth and transformation.

■Job Description
Based on your experience and career aspirations at the time of application, we will propose one of the following positions during the selection process.

・Accounting: In addition to daily performance management, financial closing, management analysis, reporting, and disclosure, you will be responsible for internal controls at both the corporate and store levels, as well as resolving issues identified through financial data.
・Business Planning: Formulating business strategies for each group business unit; identifying business challenges during strategy implementation; and driving cross-departmental solutions to these challenges
・Finance: Group cash management, as well as support for funding, foreign exchange, and investment management across business units, and resolution of business challenges
・Procurement: Supplier management, global sourcing, and cost optimization in the indirect procurement domain in collaboration with business unit and domain leaders
・Tax: Tax management for the entire group and individual businesses, and resolving company-wide issues through tax-related challenges
・IR: Ensuring accurate communication with the market regarding business performance, management policies, growth strategies, and sustainability, and providing management with feedback from market and external perspectives
・Finance Transformation: Leading fundamental transformation projects through the use of digital technology in the areas of global accounting, finance, management planning, and procurement

After gaining experience in any of the above roles, you will have a variety of options based on your abilities, preferences, and career plans, including rotations within the Planning and Management Department across accounting, finance, tax, IR, business planning, procurement, and finance transformation; deepening expertise in a specific area; or overseas assignments. After accumulating diverse experience, opportunities for career advancement, such as becoming a Business CFO or assuming leadership roles in specialized fields, will open up.

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

Experience in any of the following areas
・Experience in management accounting, finance, corporate planning, management control, or business planning at a trading company, operating company, consulting firm, or financial institution
・Accounting experience at an operating company (including year-end closing) or experience as a certified public accountant at an audit firm
・Experience in tax-related work at an operating company or a tax accounting firm
・Experience in the IR department of an operating company, or in the equities or research department of a financial institution

All of the following are required
・Logical thinking skills to identify issues based on numbers and facts and formulate hypotheses
・Ability to proactively engage others and solve problems
・Strong communication skills
・Individuals who wish to contribute to society through business by engaging broadly in business operations beyond their own specific duties

■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・English proficiency: TOEIC score of 700 or higher, or experience using English in internal meetings and external negotiations

Full-time Employee (Permanent position, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary Range: 8 million to 20 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000 to 1 million yen)
・Allowances: Regional allowance, commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work hours
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Flexible hours…6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–8:00 PM (Overtime work may occur)

Based on the working hours of the employee’s department, with the decision left to the employee

■ Holidays and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are working days) Annual paid leave, special leave (including bereavement leave), childcare and nursing care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
