For this position, we are seeking a Project Manager (AI & Data Science) to lead the utilization of data analysis and data science, which are at the core of these efforts.

■ Department Overview
The Digital Business Transformation Services Department, to which you will be assigned, is on a mission to envision the "ideal state" of business operations from the customer’s perspective and lead business transformation using the latest digital technologies. We are accelerating the in-house development of e-commerce and store systems, core supply chain systems, and the AI algorithms integrated into them. A diverse team of specialists—including project managers, business analysts, in-house development engineers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers—collaborates closely with business divisions.
The Project Manager in this role will drive projects in close collaboration with IT teams across various business domains, working alongside specialists such as data scientists and engineers. You will be expected to lead projects end-to-end—from defining data challenges to developing and implementing models and systems, and ensuring successful operational adoption. Leveraging the company’s centralized data platform and cutting-edge cloud technologies, you will spearhead business transformation across the entire group.

■Job Description
As a Project Manager for AI/data science-related projects, you will drive the following series of tasks:
・Defining Data Challenges: Collaborate with business units to gain a deep understanding of business processes and define challenges to be solved through data science.
・Analysis & Model Design/Development: Select the appropriate approach—such as statistical analysis, machine learning, mathematical optimization, or generative AI—to design, implement, and validate high-precision, business-relevant models. You will also collect and preprocess data as needed.
・Implementation of Results: Leveraging your data science expertise, you will present proposals for operational improvements to stakeholders based on the results obtained, guiding the process through implementation to the delivery of tangible outcomes. You will also integrate models into business systems to embed data science outcomes into operational processes.

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・At least 3 years of experience driving projects in the IT field
・Experience participating in project teams in the AI/data science field as a project manager or team member
・Experience solving customer or user challenges through projects
・Experience coordinating and building consensus in environments involving stakeholders both within and outside the team
・Experience driving projects while managing schedules, scope, and risks
・Experience in continuously improving and successfully integrating released systems or deliverables into daily operations

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Professional certifications in project management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
・Experience and operational knowledge in data analysis and project management within the retail, apparel, and supply chain sectors
・Experience designing projects that consider ROI and technical feasibility, and securing budgets and resources after reaching consensus with executive management and business departments
・Experience implementing and utilizing generative AI and agent technologies in actual business systems
・Experience integrating cutting-edge analytical models and algorithms into actual business systems, including involvement in operations and effectiveness verification
・Communication skills to clearly explain the outcomes, limitations, and risks of data science to stakeholders in business departments and senior management
・Experience collaborating with international team members or studying abroad

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8 million to 20 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000 to 1.1 million yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
