Recruitment Background
Fast Retailing is now aiming for consolidated group sales of 5 trillion yen and 10 trillion yen. To achieve this goal, we are promoting the ultimate supply chain transformation, which no other company in the world has yet achieved: "to produce, transport, and sell what customers want, when they want it, and in the amount they need it".
To achieve this, it is essential to improve PL (profit and loss) from a management perspective and properly manage costs associated with warehousing and delivery while promoting the resolution and evolution of industry issues through strategic investments.
In this position, we are looking for a leader candidate who has the ability to conceptualize and execute to improve profitability of the entire supply chain from a management perspective, and create the logistics of the future by building strong partnerships with business partners and introducing cutting-edge technologies.
■Department Overview
The Global Logistics Support (PL & KPI Management) Team of the Global Supply Chain Management Department, to which you will be assigned, has the mission to improve efficiency and profitability in the logistics area that supports sales for UNIQLO's business, which operates 2,519 stores (as of the end of August 2013) in 24 countries and regions worldwide. The mission of the UNIQLO Group is to improve efficiency and profitability in the logistics area that supports UNIQLO business sales. By improving PL from a management perspective and optimizing the entire supply chain, we play an important role in supporting the growth of UNIQLO as a global brand.
As a team directly under management with PL as the starting point, you will pursue both low-cost management and efficiency improvement, and drive the qualitative evolution that will serve as the foundation for the "Fourth Foundation," which aims to become the No. 1 brand most loved in the world.
■Job Description
After six months of on-the-job training at stores and warehouses, you will be responsible for managing logistics costs in the store logistics area of UNIQLO's Japan business, which supports sales of 1 trillion yen in Japan.
You will be responsible for the development of the full-year logistics budget, the calculation of monthly logistics cost forecasts, the identification of issues through forecast analysis, and the planning, implementation, and progress management of improvement actions. The position will be responsible for taking the lead in achieving targets in cooperation with management and related departments.
In addition, the position is expected to promote further advancement of logistics by building partnerships with external suppliers, managing contracts, negotiating unit prices, and introducing cutting-edge technologies, while working closely with management both inside and outside the company.
Job Description is subject to change within the scope of work related to each department of the headquarters due to departmental transfers and organizational changes.

Experience in management accounting, forecasting, corporate planning, business administration, or business planning at a business company, financial institution, or trading company (5 years or more as a general guideline)
Experience at accounting consulting firms or auditing firms, knowledge of management engineering, or equivalent experience in quantifying on-site conditions, planning and executing improvement activities
Experience in data processing, analysis and visualization using various analysis tools*.
Excel, Access, Spreadsheet, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Lookerstudio, Tablau, etc.
English: Business level (TOEIC 700 approx.)
