Job Description

■Recruitment Background
Fast Retailing is redesigning its supply chain as a core management priority to achieve consolidated group sales of 5 trillion yen and 10 trillion yen. To achieve this, it is essential to consistently ensure that “the products customers want are always in stock” across both e-commerce and physical stores. This requires a management-driven approach that goes beyond treating logistics as a mere operational task; it demands an integrated strategy that uses P&L and KPIs as a starting point to drive investment decisions, cost transformation, and partnerships with suppliers. For this position, we are seeking a candidate who will be directly responsible for P&L and KPI management—which are directly linked to management decisions for UNIQLO’s Japan business, which has surpassed 1 trillion yen in sales—and who will drive initiatives from identifying challenges through to the implementation of improvements.

■ Department Overview
The Global Supply Chain Management Department plays a central role not merely in “moving” goods, but in driving sales and creating customer experiences. Within this department, the Global Logistics Support (P&L and KPI Management) Team—to which you will be assigned—is tasked with accurately tracking key metrics and continuously improving the profitability of logistics costs within the UNIQLO business. Using the P&L as a starting point, you will serve as a bridge between store and warehouse operations and business management, contributing to the company’s growth.

■Job Description
You will be responsible for managing the budget versus actual performance of logistics costs within the store logistics sector of UNIQLO’s Japan business, which generates 1 trillion yen in domestic sales.

Specifically,
・Starting with the formulation of the full-year logistics cost budget, you will update monthly forecasts to account for demand fluctuations and the impact of initiatives, identify issues by analyzing the causes of variances between actual and budgeted figures, and take full responsibility for planning, executing, and managing the progress of improvement actions.
・This role goes beyond mere numerical management; you will identify key issues that drive action at both the executive and operational levels, build consensus with relevant departments both inside and outside the company, and lead improvements aimed at achieving targets.
・Rather than limiting yourself to desk-based numerical management, you will occasionally visit stores, warehouses, and other on-site locations to gain a firsthand understanding of actual conditions, placing great importance on this hands-on approach.
・By moving back and forth between management metrics (P&L, KPIs) and on-site execution, you will directly drive business impact. You will take end-to-end responsibility for the entire process—from budget formulation to execution—and be responsible for advancing logistics and improving profitability.
・A key feature of this position is the autonomy to not only set targets but also identify challenges revealed by the data, engage relevant stakeholders—including executives both inside and outside the company—to address them, and drive initiatives through to successful implementation and results.

*The Job Description is subject to change within the scope of duties related to each department of the headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.

■ Career Path
You will initially drive operations as the primary point of contact, with the expectation that you will aim for a leadership role in the future based on your performance and career aspirations. Additionally, a wide range of career paths is available within the Global Supply Chain Management Department, including leading global logistics cost management and KPI management, serving as the head of overseas logistics, and engaging in corporate and business planning within the supply chain domain.

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience serving as the primary point of contact for either budget formulation, forecast management, or actual-versus-forecast analysis using P&L/KPIs, and driving the process from identifying issues to implementing improvement actions and achieving numerical improvements (industry and field are not restricted)
・Experience driving improvement initiatives by engaging multiple departments and stakeholders with varying positions and roles (including executive management, frontline staff, other departments, and external partners), while balancing interests and building consensus

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in improving P&Ls and designing/operating KPIs in highly uncertain environments, such as new business launches, business restructuring, or structural transformations
・Experience in structuring key issues based on metrics and KPIs, and presenting proposals and narratives to senior management and relevant departments that led to decision-making
・Experience with cost transformation, KPI design and implementation, and improvement projects in the logistics/supply chain field
・Experience in data processing, analysis, and visualization using various analytical tools*
*Excel, Access, Spreadsheet, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Looker Studio, Tableau, etc.
・English proficiency: Business level (TOEIC score of approximately 700)
