Job Description

■Recruitment Background:
The Store Development Department drives business growth by expanding the store network for all Fast Retailing Group brands globally, guided by the mission "We Deliver LifeWear." To build a public-spirited store network that embodies LifeWear, integrates with local communities, and positively impacts society, we promote strategic store openings worldwide, centered on flagship stores.We seek individuals who can respond to this rapidly changing era, go beyond mere real estate development, create locations from a market-in perspective, and drive Fast Retailing's business growth.

■Department Overview:
Our group's store expansion strategy is synonymous with our business growth strategy.The customer shopping experience is significantly transformed by where and with what concept we create our stores—the points of contact with customers. The Store Development Department advances store development for all Fast Retailing Group brands, including UNIQLO, GU, Theory, and PLST, worldwide. We create "destination stores" that draw people to the area, serve as local infrastructure, and contribute to regional communities and urban development, thereby improving local societies.We lead all store development—from flagship stores offering unique experiences that customers find meaningful and aspire to visit, to roadside stores close to customers' daily lives—through two roles: Global Store Development and Domestic Store Development in Japan.

・Global Store Development Team
We drive the expansion of our store network in collaboration with business operators and local store development teams across the globe. Aiming to create stores that function as local social infrastructure, we lead the process from planning to execution of store strategies that contribute to community development worldwide.

・ Domestic Store Development Team
For our largest market, Japan, we aim to create stores that foster vibrant neighborhoods and communities, serving as essential local infrastructure.

■Job Description
Lead new store openings for Fast Retailing Group brands.
Detailed responsibilities for global and Japan roles are as follows.

Global Store Development:
・Develop country-specific store network strategies aligned with mid-term business plans for store expansion, leading optimal store deployment based on brand characteristics
・Collaborate with regional store development departments to achieve global store openings aligned with company policy through GHQ policy communication, progress management, and issue resolution support
・Prioritize global store candidate locations, verify and guide contract terms, and promote contract execution considering risk mitigation
• Contribute to improving sales forecasting and store strategy accuracy through P&L analysis of existing stores and post-opening performance reviews
・ Strengthen local team capabilities by recruiting and developing talent for store development teams in each country/region

Domestic Store Development Domain:
・Develop store expansion strategies and location plans centered around flagship and large-scale stores within assigned areas
・Execute end-to-end store development tasks based on the above strategy, including new openings and scrap-and-build projects
・Building relationships with developers and landowners, negotiating terms, concluding contracts, and managing progress through to opening
・Implementing market-driven planning and presentations considering regional characteristics and customer needs
・Promoting store openings that contribute to the local community and play a role in town development, going beyond mere store development

Qualifications

■Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas
・Experience independently creating and developing locations, formulating market-driven store expansion strategies based on regional characteristics and customer needs
・Experience driving projects by engaging internal and external stakeholders, building teams, and leading them
・Experience in overseas business development or sales channel expansion

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in organizational/project management, or mentoring subordinates/junior colleagues
・Conceptual ability to view store development as part of a business growth strategy and lead the construction of a store network centered around flagship stores
・Experience leading transformative business initiatives—such as business turnarounds, large-scale organizational transformations, strategic pivots, or overseas subsidiary development—and delivering tangible results
・TOEIC score of 700

Work Conditions

Full-time Employee (Indefinite term, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: ¥7,000,000 - ¥24,390,000 (Monthly Salary: ¥440,000 - ¥1,350,000)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (Payment and amount determined based on company performance and personnel evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluation)
*Determined based on company regulations, taking into account previous annual income and experience, not limited to the above.

Standard daily working hours: 8 hours, Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Flexible time: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Overtime work may occur)

Based on the working hours of the assigned department, determined by the employee

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are working days) Annual paid leave, special/bereavement leave, childcare/nursing care leave systems, etc.
