Job Description
■ Recruitment Background:
The Store Development Department is responsible for driving business growth through the expansion of the global store network for all Fast Retailing Group brands under the mission "We Deliver LifeWear". The Fast Retailing Group is driving business growth through the expansion of its global network of stores under all Fast Retailing Group brands, with the aim of building a public-spirited store network that embodies LifeWear, integrates with local communities, and has a positive impact on society. We are looking for people who can lead Fast Retailing's business growth by creating locations from a market-in perspective, rather than simply developing real estate, while responding to rapidly changing times.
■ Department Overview:
The Group's store opening strategy is synonymous with its business growth strategy. The store is the point of contact with customers, and the location and concept of the store can make a big difference in the customer's shopping experience. The Store Development Department is responsible for the creation of "destination stores" for all Fast Retailing Group brands, including UNIQLO, GU, Theory, and PLST, that attract people to local communities around the world and that serve as local infrastructure. We will continue to develop new stores that will contribute to local communities and urban development, and improve local communities. The Global Store Development Team leads all store development, from triumphant stores that provide customers with unique experiences and make them want to visit at least once, to roadside stores that are close to customers, in the dual roles of global store development and store development in Japan.
Global Store Development Team
The Global Store Development Team promotes the expansion of the store network in collaboration with business managers and local store opening teams in each global country. The team aims to create stores that function as part of the local social infrastructure, and leads the process from the planning of store opening strategies that contribute to urban development in each country to their implementation.
Domestic Store Development Team
In our Japan business, which is our largest business country, we aim to create stores that will lead to the creation of towns and communities where people can gather and play a role as local infrastructure.
■ Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading new store openings for Fast Retailing Group's brands.
Details of the global and Japanese responsibilities are as follows
Global store opening development area:
Lead the development of the optimal store network in each country in line with the mid-term business plan for store opening strategy, taking into account the characteristics of the brands.
Collaborate with store development departments in each country and region to achieve global store openings in line with company policy by explaining GHQ policies, managing progress, and providing support for problem-solving.
Prioritize candidate sites for global store openings, confirm and provide guidance on contract terms and conditions, and promote contract execution in consideration of risk hedging.
Contributed to improving the accuracy of sales forecasts and store strategies through PL analysis of existing stores and review of post-opening figures
Strengthened local teams by recruiting and training personnel for store development teams in each country and region
Domestic store development area:
Develop store opening strategies and store allocation plans, starting with flagship and large-scale stores in the area of responsibility
Development of a series of new store development operations including new store openings and scrap-and-build based on the above strategies.
Establish relationships with developers and land owners, negotiate terms and conditions, conclude contracts, and manage the store opening process.
Market-in type planning and presentation based on regional characteristics and customer needs
Not only developing stores, but also promoting store openings that contribute to the local community and play a role in urban development.
