Job Description

Most recently, we opened the UNIQLO Meijer store in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium, in September 2025, and a global flagship store in Umeda, Osaka, in October.As we accelerate our global expansion to deliver LifeWear to customers around the world, we are seeking individuals who can join us in driving the creation of the world’s best stores.

■ Department Overview
The Store Development Department, to which you will be assigned, operates under the mission that “revenue and profit growth are driven by store development.” We formulate strategies for each business unit across our global operations and open approximately 300 new stores annually worldwide for brands such as UNIQLO, GU, PLST, and Theory.The department includes teams responsible for store design, construction management, new store development, facility management, asset management, and property management. The Design and Construction Team, to which you will be assigned, is composed of employees with backgrounds in architectural firms, interior design, general contractors, and developers, each leveraging their unique strengths to contribute to the team’s success.

■Job Description
You will be responsible for one of the following areas related to domestic or global store design and construction. Your initial assignment will be determined during the selection process based on your experience and preferences.

(1) Store Designer
This role involves management duties related to planning, design development, and architectural design for new store projects, both globally and domestically.
・Creating innovative stores that anticipate future trends, designing individual stores that reflect regional characteristics and customer needs, and devising ways to create retail spaces that are loved by the local community
・Developing new store formats and concepts; implementing a transformation in store design with a focus on the shopping experience and integration with e-commerce; promoting sustainable store development

(2) Project Manager
This role involves managing all stages of store opening projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
・Based on store opening strategies, consistently manage all phases from planning and design through construction and opening to ensure swift and reliable store launches
・Implementing store-specific designs and sales floor layouts that respect regional characteristics and customer profiles, aiming to create stores that will be cherished for years to come

Qualifications

■Required Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas
・Practical experience in building and facility-related fields, such as architectural design, interior design, or construction management
・In-house experience in design development for store creation within the retail, food service, or service industries
・At least 3 years of experience in BIM implementation, business transformation and design, system development and operations, etc., at general contractors, consulting firms, system integrators, or operating companies

■Preferred Experience
・Experience with overseas projects or working abroad
・English proficiency (TOEIC score of approximately 700 or experience using English in a professional setting)
・Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe software, and BIM (Revit preferred)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8–13.5 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000–750,000 yen) 
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, not limited to the figures above

Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work hours
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Flexible hours…6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–8:00 PM (Overtime may apply)
・Supervisors
Based on the working hours of the employee’s department, with the decision left to the employee

■ Holidays and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are working days) Annual paid leave, special leave (including bereavement leave), childcare and nursing care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
