Job Description

■Recruitment Background
Through “clothing”—an indispensable part of people’s lives around the world—we aim to become the world’s most sought-after and beloved brand. Our revenue has reached 3 trillion yen, and we have set a long-term goal of 10 trillion yen in revenue. Creating new stores that delight our customers is essential to our revenue growth.Rather than simply following established practices, we anticipate changes in customer trends and behavior, constantly challenge ourselves with new designs, and create stores that offer customers an enjoyable and convenient shopping experience. Most recently, we opened the UNIQLO Meijer store in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium, in September 2025, and our global flagship store in Umeda, Osaka, in October, and we are accelerating our global store expansion to deliver LifeWear to customers around the world. We are seeking individuals who can help us drive store development on a global scale.

A new UNIQLO store opens in a beautiful historic building in Belgium

■ Department Overview
Guided by the mission “Store development drives revenue and profit growth,” the Store Development Department formulates strategies for each business unit across the globe and opens approximately 300 new stores annually worldwide for brands such as UNIQLO, GU, PLST, and Theory. The Store Design and Construction Team, to which you will be assigned, is composed of employees with backgrounds in architectural firms, interior design, general contracting, and real estate development, each leveraging their unique strengths to contribute effectively.
A key feature of our approach is that we go beyond simply constructing the physical building; we place great emphasis on creating stores that encompass everything from sales floor layouts and customer experience to operations.

■Job Description
For new store openings both globally and domestically, you will create stores rooted in the local community and customer base in accordance with our expansion strategy. Starting with the design phase, you will be involved in store planning, design development, and design decisions, driving the entire process—from conceptual design through to opening—in an integrated manner. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

・Developing concepts for new stores and leading creative discussions based on store opening strategies and brand policies
・Planning and promoting store-specific designs and sales floor layouts that understand and respect regional characteristics and customer needs, with a focus on customer experience and value creation
・Proposing and presenting store concepts and designs to property owners and developers
・Driving the project end-to-end through to opening, based on design drawings and design intent, while collaborating with external partners and internal stakeholders

■ Career Path
You will first be responsible for end-to-end projects—from planning to opening—for new stores within our domestic team, where you will learn Fast Retailing’s customer-centric approach to store design and the dynamics of store development. In a few years, we expect you to take on store design and flagship store projects globally, driving initiatives in collaboration with local teams in various countries to build stores around the world.

② Individuals capable of driving projects forward from a design-centric perspective while engaging a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders in fields such as architecture, engineering, design, and construction
