Job Description

To ensure that Fast Retailing Group employees around the world can work safely and with peace of mind, you will lead the planning, execution, and achievement of results for initiatives on a global and cross-functional basis—from the perspective of occupational safety and health—to resolve management challenges in each country.
Broadly speaking, this involves the following two areas:
(1) Resolving occupational safety and health management issues in Japan

• As a member of the Health and Safety Department at the global headquarters in Japan, you will work to create a workplace where employees can work in a healthy and safe environment
• Specifically, to prevent workplace accidents and maintain and promote physical and mental health, you will identify challenges on the ground, develop solutions, and implement measures in collaboration with relevant departments.

(2) Establishing a global occupational safety and health management system and implementing various initiatives (including building autonomous problem-solving systems in each country)

• Establishing a framework to resolve occupational safety and health issues in countries overseas
• Supporting personnel in each country to independently improve their own occupational safety and health environments and drive on-site transformation through the implementation of measures, by providing appropriate information, advice, and training
• Visiting overseas locations to directly verify workplace occupational safety and health conditions and provide guidance
• Collecting and analyzing safety issues that occur universally across the globe, and planning and implementing global measures to prevent workplace accidents

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Individuals who have led problem-solving initiatives in collaboration with other team members

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience in designing occupational safety and health systems
• Experience as a safety manager in logistics warehouses or the retail industry
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as Japan’s Occupational Safety and Health Act
• Ability to conduct business in English (including meetings, negotiations, and document preparation)

Annual Salary

• Annual Salary Range: 8–14 million yen (Monthly Salary: 500,000–780,000 yen)
• Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
• Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
• Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)

*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00; overtime work may occur

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays) Annual paid leave, special and bereavement leave, childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
