Job Description
■Recruitment Background
Having achieved 3 trillion yen in revenue, we view this moment as our “Fourth Founding” and aim to reach 10 trillion yen in revenue, become the brand most loved by customers worldwide, and the company most needed by society.
To achieve this, it is essential that we continue to create new business models and ways of working; however, it is also necessary for our employees worldwide to be able to take on new challenges while working in a safe and secure environment that supports their physical and mental well-being.
We are seeking team members to join us in creating a world-class work environment where all employees worldwide can work with peace of mind and safety, both physically and mentally.
■ Department Overview
The Corporate Services Department, to which you will be assigned, is pursuing bold transformations under a new management structure starting in 2025.Together with the 110,000 employees working at stores and headquarters of all Fast Retailing Group brands worldwide, we aim to realize the vision of “the world’s best workplace and the world’s best employees.” To this end, we are implementing a wide range of initiatives to support employees’ work and personal lives at the highest global standards. Our goal is to become a company respected by society as a workplace where employees take pride in their work and enjoy high satisfaction, where we achieve high profitability and generous profit sharing, and where the most talented individuals are rewarded with lifetime employment.
Focusing on fostering corporate culture, building the workplace environment, health and safety, and supporting employees’ personal lives, team members take on multiple themes and, as project leaders, drive initiatives from planning through to achieving results.
■Job Description
To ensure that Fast Retailing Group employees worldwide can work safely and with peace of mind, you will lead the planning, execution, and achievement of results for initiatives—from a global and cross-functional perspective—to address management challenges in each country through the lens of occupational safety and health.
Broadly speaking, this involves the following two areas:
(1) Resolving occupational safety and health management issues in Japan
・As a member of the Health and Safety Department at our global headquarters in Japan, you will work to create a workplace where employees can work in a healthy and safe environment
・Specifically, to prevent workplace accidents and maintain and promote physical and mental health, you will identify challenges on the front lines, develop solutions, and implement measures in collaboration with relevant departments
(2) Establishing a global occupational safety and health management system and implementing various initiatives (building autonomous problem-solving systems in each country)
・Establishing a framework to resolve occupational safety and health issues in countries overseas
・Supporting local personnel in each country to independently improve their own occupational safety and health environments and drive on-site transformation through the implementation of measures, by providing appropriate information, advice, and training
・Visiting overseas locations to directly verify workplace occupational safety and health conditions and provide guidance
・Collecting and analyzing safety issues that occur consistently worldwide, and planning and implementing global occupational accident prevention measures
■Career Path
There are various career development opportunities, including the chance to take on management roles—such as leader (manager), department head, and executive—within the Corporate Services division; opportunities to work in Corporate Services overseas; and opportunities to transfer to other departments within the company.
