Job Description
■Recruitment Background
Having achieved 3 trillion yen in revenue, we view this moment as our “Fourth Founding” and aim to reach 10 trillion yen in revenue, becoming the brand most loved by customers and the company most needed worldwide.
To achieve this, we must continue to create new business models and ways of working. However, to drive these new challenges globally, it is essential to have a comprehensive and cost-effective insurance strategy that promptly addresses contemporary risks such as cybersecurity and natural disasters.
We are seeking a candidate who, from the perspective of the Global Headquarters, can lead the Fast Retailing Group’s apparel business—covering all processes and employees—from the formulation of optimal insurance strategies through to actual negotiations, management, and handling of individual cases.
■ Department Overview
The Corporate Services Department, to which you will be assigned, is undergoing bold transformations under a new management structure starting in 2025.Together with the 110,000 employees working at stores and headquarters of all Fast Retailing Group brands worldwide, we aim to realize the vision of “the world’s best workplace and the world’s best employees.” To this end, we are implementing various initiatives to support employees’ work and personal lives at the highest global standards. Our goal is to become a company respected by society—one where employees take pride in their work and enjoy high satisfaction, where high profitability leads to generous profit sharing, and where the most talented individuals are rewarded with lifetime employment.
Focusing on fostering corporate culture, building the workplace environment, health and safety, and supporting employees’ personal lives, team members take on multiple themes and, as leaders, drive initiatives from planning through to achieving results.
■Job Description
This position is responsible for the strategic management of the Group’s property and casualty insurance operations, supporting the growth of a company aiming for 10 trillion yen in revenue.
You will accurately identify and assess risks associated with our global business operations and promote the preservation of corporate value and the advancement of risk management through the design and operation of optimal insurance programs.
In addition, you will be involved in planning and promoting employee benefit programs that support employee peace of mind and job satisfaction, contributing to improved employee satisfaction through program design and operation.
Specifically, you will be responsible for the following three areas:
(1) Planning and Operation of the Global Property and Casualty Insurance Program
To appropriately manage risks associated with the Group’s business activities, you will design, renew, and manage general insurance programs. Through global claims support and the visualization and analysis of coverage status, you will work to safeguard corporate assets and advance risk management.
(2) Planning and Promotion of Employee Benefits Programs
You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of employee benefit programs (such as health insurance and life support initiatives) that support employee peace of mind and job satisfaction, thereby contributing to improved employee satisfaction.
(3) Operational Support within the Corporate Services Department
Beyond the insurance and employee benefits domains, you will flexibly engage in the wide range of operations handled by the Corporate Services Department, contributing to the advancement of the department’s overall operations.
・As the Japanese headquarters serves as the global headquarters, and the initiatives implemented apply to all employees across FR Group’s global stores and headquarters, this is a critical role that significantly impacts both employees and the company.
・This is a position that can impact management not only from a risk management perspective but also from a cost management perspective.
・Few of your responsibilities will be confined to the department itself; you will work to resolve issues by collaborating with multiple internal departments—including HR, Finance, IT, ISO, Sustainability, and Public Relations—as well as external partner companies.
(The Job Description may change depending on department transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters.)
■ Career Path
There are various career development opportunities, including the chance to take on leadership roles (Manager, Department Head, and Executive) within the Corporate Services domain, opportunities to work in Corporate Services roles overseas, and opportunities to transfer to other departments within the company.
