Job Description

■Recruitment Background:
To realize Fast Retailing’s vision of a business where “the clothes customers truly want are available when they want them and can be purchased immediately,” the Global Supply Chain Management Department aims to establish the ultimate supply chain worldwide—one that “manufactures, transports, and sells exactly what is needed, exactly when it is needed.” Achieving this requires the continuous review and improvement of logistics infrastructure related to transportation and distribution, including the development of an optimal global supply chain and the establishment and strengthening of strategic partnerships.

For this position, we are seeking a leadership candidate to advance the supply chain for UNIQLO—which operates in more than 25 countries and regions and has over 2,500 stores worldwide—by further refining the store delivery system developed in Japan and establishing a system in each country where the company operates globally to ensure that merchandise ordered by stores is delivered within two business days of shipment.

■ Department Overview:
The Global Supply Chain Management Department’s Store Delivery Team, to which you will be assigned, is responsible for managing deliveries to UNIQLO and GU stores. It plays a critical role in connecting “warehouses,” where merchandise is stored and shipped, with “stores,” where customers shop. The team’s mission is to implement new, efficient, and advanced delivery systems—going beyond traditional methods—to reduce the workload associated with receiving shipments, thereby allowing store staff to focus on serving customers on the sales floor.

To achieve this, we collaborate with external partner companies to secure delivery capacity commensurate with shipment volumes, explore and implement value-added services that reduce the workload on store staff, and develop and implement low-cost delivery solutions through optimized delivery routes—all to support store operations from a logistics perspective.

We will expand the delivery expertise we have cultivated in Japan to the global stage to achieve greater efficiency and sophistication in delivery operations worldwide.

■Job Description:
After joining the company, you will deepen your understanding of the business through on-the-job training (OJT) at stores, warehouses, and other field locations. We expect you to go beyond simply managing delivery operations for UNIQLO and GU stores in Japan to lead projects such as the following:

・Driving solutions—including the selection and development of partner companies—to achieve high-quality store deliveries in countries where we operate globally ・Projects aimed at further enhancing delivery services in collaboration with partner companies and various internal departments

・Projects aimed at resolving delivery challenges for stores in Japan in anticipation of the “Logistics 2030 Problem”

*The Job Description is subject to change within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.

■ Career Path
・Depending on your skills and aptitudes, you will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles in various areas of the Global Supply Chain Department, such as Head of Overseas Logistics or Specialist in Store Delivery Implementation.
