Job Description

Department Overview
PLST is a brand that develops LifeWear, which combines beautiful style and comfort in everyday life, based on the concept of "everyday clothes for when you want to be neat and tidy.
The R&D department, which plays a central role in the brand, collaborates with apparel designers and pattern makers to plan, design, and control quality in order to create sophisticated styles that are unique to PLST. Through the development of essential wear that pays close attention to details such as material selection, silhouette, and comfort, we are promoting a transformation that will deliver PLST's brand value to customers around the world.
In 2025, we welcomed Mr. Harunobu Murata as PLST's Women's Design Director. Mr. Murata is a talented designer who has created his own luxury fashion label, HARUNOBUMURATA, and has experience at Jil Sander. Under the keyword of "democratization of luxury," they are collaborating with LifeWear to become No. 1 in the mid-price range through product development that pursues high-quality materials and sophisticated silhouettes.
You will have the opportunity to work with Mr. Murata to promote the development of hit items that represent PLST, and be involved in projects that create the future of the brand while pursuing the essence of design.

■ Job Description:
You will be responsible for patterning work for women's products. Specifically, the following duties are expected.
Create patterns for samples based on requests from designers
Creation of specification sheets
Checking the completeness and quality of samples
Improvement of quality at the time of mass production in cooperation with the production factory, etc.

Job Descriptions are subject to change within the scope of work related to each department of the headquarters due to departmental or organizational changes.

■Career Path
When you join the company, you will be assigned to a team in charge of several categories (e.g., shirts, blouses, dresses). After that, you may be transferred to a different team depending on your aptitude.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
At least 5 years of experience in creating specifications and patterns for women's products.
Experience with woven fabrics (shirts, blouses, outerwear), dresses, cut & sewn, knitwear, bottoms, etc. are all welcome.
Experience working with Toray CAD (patternmaking)
Excellent communication skills in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent)

Preferred Knowledge/Abilities/Experience
Experience working with CAD (grading), Excel, Illustrator
English proficiency: Ability to read and write documents and e-mails in English
English: Ability to read and write documents and e-mails in English.

Work Condition

Company name: PLST Co.
Employment Status: Temporary employee
The employment contract may be renewed in consideration of the company's business needs and the individual's performance (no automatic renewal).
There is no upper limit on contract renewal (total period or number of renewals).

■ Annual salary
Annual salary range: 425-8 million yen (monthly salary: 280,000-500,000 yen)
Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All in accordance with our company's regulations)
Bonuses: Semiannual bonus twice a year, year-end bonus (whether or not to be paid and the amount will be decided according to the company's performance and personnel evaluation)
Promotion: Twice a year (determined according to personnel evaluation)
(Not limited to the above, but will be determined based on our company's rules and regulations in consideration of annual salary and experience in previous jobs.

Working hours
Either general working hours or flextime system
(To be determined based on the nature of the work, expected role, and department to which the employee will be assigned, to be announced at the informal interview)
General working hours
8 hours between 7:00-18:00 with 1 hour break
Flextime system
Standard working hours per day ... 8 hours, break ... 1 hour
Core time ... 9:00-14:00
Flexible hours ... 6:00-9:00 and 14:00-20:00 with overtime

Vacations and Vacations
2 days off per week (Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays correspond to working days) Annual paid vacations, special congratulatory or condolence leave, childcare/nursing care leave system, etc.
