UT", which has been producing collaborative T-shirts since its birth in 2003, has been increasing its global presence in the US, EU, ASEAN, and other countries, and the importance of collaboration product planning has been increasing accordingly. We are looking for a person who can promote the production of "UT" collaboration products (licensed products) so that we can continue to deliver unfading value to our customers around the world.

Outline of the department

UT, UNIQLO's T-shirt brand, was launched in 2003 as the "UNIQLO T-shirt Project. The "Japanese Pop Culture Project" was the centerpiece of the opening of UNIQLO's SOHO NY store in the fall of 2006. The project was a major event at the opening of UNIQLO's SOHO NY store in the fall of 2006, when leading Japanese artists used the T-shirt as a canvas to express their free-spirited ideas of "Tokyo today" and drew much attention. We have been delivering an overwhelming variety of graphic T-shirts to our customers every year. By realizing collaborations that surprise customers around the world and embodying UNIQLO's "LifeWear" with culture at its core, we are driving UNIQLO to become the world's number one apparel brand in both name and reality.

■ Job Description

As a project manager in the Global Headquarter, you will be responsible for promoting each collaboration, including planning, negotiation, coordination with business, and coordination with overseas business units for various UT contents such as art, manga, fashion, and characters.

Specifically, you will be entrusted with the following tasks

Conduct market research based on seasonal policies and formulate specific collaboration plans.
Negotiate contracts with licensors related to collaborations
Promote UT business in collaboration with related departments (MD, MK, R&D) within the company.

In consideration of your past experience and skills, you may be asked to start by focusing on UT marketing-related work or licensing-related work such as contract negotiations with licensors, and in the future you may be asked to broaden your scope of work to include both. In the future, there is a possibility to expand the scope of your work to other areas.

Career Path

In the mid- to long-term, we expect you to take on the following roles.

-Collaboration business promotion manager
-Brand manager of UT brand
-Global product marketing professional

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities

Business level English proficiency (TOEIC score of 700 or above)

Experience in one of the following

Experience in product/marketing/PR at a business company, publishing company, advertising agency, creative agency, licensing business, etc. (3 years or more as a general guideline)
Experience in various licensing businesses
Experience in promoting projects involving internal and external, domestic and international personnel

Experience, skills, and abilities that would be welcome

A love of culture such as fashion, art, music, etc., with at least one area of expertise, and a deep knowledge and insight into that area.
Experience in the area of product planning
Experience in planning and editing cultural articles for magazines and websites.

Annual salary

Annual salary range: 6.56-16.2 million yen (monthly salary: 410,000-900,000 yen)

Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All in accordance with our company's regulations)

Bonuses: Semiannual bonus twice a year, year-end bonus (whether or not to be paid and the amount will be decided according to the company's performance and personnel evaluation)
