Department Overview

The foundation you will manage primarily engages in social contribution activities in the following three areas. Your mission is to ensure the efficient and stable operation of this foundation, as well as to plan and execute initiatives for the future.

Scope of Operations

• This role involves advancing the Foundation’s activities—centered on scholarship programs that enable Japanese high school students to attend universities in the U.S. and the U.K., and Vietnamese and Indonesian high school students to attend universities in Japan—as well as initiatives such as refugee support and the promotion of international cross-cultural understanding, in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors.
• In accordance with legal compliance and overall governance, you will be responsible for steadily executing operations while liaising with the Cabinet Office, partners in each project, beneficiaries, board members, relevant departments, and other stakeholders
• You will also be expected to plan and implement initiatives that contribute to society beyond the foundation’s current operations.
• The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.

After gaining experience in the foundation’s operations—beyond just program planning and implementation—you may have the opportunity to serve as Executive Director in the future.

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

<Work Experience> Experience in any of the following

• Experience in the management of a foundation, nonprofit organization, or similar entity
• Experience managing business income and expenses in areas such as accounting and finance, financial auditing, or strategic planning

<Personal Qualities>

• Someone who can drive the development of the foundation’s overall operations with a clear vision
• An individual committed to improving society through their activities
• Suitability for handling management information, personal information, and other tasks requiring special care

<Skills>

• Business-level English (reading, writing, and oral communication); native-level Japanese

Annual Salary

• Annual Salary Range: 7.5 million to 14 million yen (Monthly Salary: 470,000 to 700,000 yen)
• Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
• Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year; year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
• Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)

*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Overtime may be required

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave and bereavement leave, childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
