To achieve this, we are seeking an individual who can lead product development by engaging deeply with products, production, and business partners, and who will eventually serve as a driving force within the Production Department.

Department Overview

The mission of PLST’s Production Department is to work with our business partners to embody our brand concept—“everyday clothing for when you want to look your best”—to the highest standards. Through sourcing high-quality materials, developing partnerships with top-tier sewing and fabric manufacturers, and managing the manufacturing process, we aim to build a supply chain that delivers the right products in the right quantities at the right time to our customers, while striving for a balance between product value, quality, cost, and delivery times.The Production Department fosters an environment where, thanks to the close-knit nature of our small team, we engage in lively discussions about products and production and drive manufacturing forward through teamwork.

Job Description

As a Production MD, you will lead the end-to-end product development process across the entire production spectrum—from product planning and development through mass production and store rollout to product improvements based on customer feedback.Your mission is to work closely with MD, R&D, Quality Control, and partner factories to achieve high-quality products at the right cost and on schedule, while pursuing the optimal balance between product value, quality, cost, and delivery times. Specifically, you will be responsible for managing progress from planning through sample completion; managing the quality, cost, and delivery times of mass-produced items; sourcing and negotiating with factories; formulating production plans and managing orders; and adjusting production based on sales trends.

Career Path

As a Production MD, we expect you to gain experience in your assigned area and, in the future, take on a leadership role in guiding the PLST Production Department.

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• At least 5 years of experience in OEM/ODM production sales for apparel at a general trading company or a specialized trading company
• Experience in structurally analyzing challenges based on on-site observations, actual products, and real-world conditions, and driving improvements
• A strong commitment to product and manufacturing quality, and the ability to drive projects forward by engaging all stakeholders
• Ability to communicate smoothly with internal and external stakeholders and deliver results as part of a team
• Language proficiency sufficient to handle business emails in English (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is preferred)

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience collaborating with overseas fabric and garment manufacturing factories, including involvement in fabric development and factory sourcing
• Experience in product development utilizing specialized knowledge of materials, sewing, and manufacturing processes
• Experience in on-site production management, such as through overseas assignments or long-term business trips abroad

Annual Salary

• Annual Salary Range: 8.64–13.50 million yen (Monthly Salary: 540,000–750,000 yen)
• Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
• Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
• Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)

*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, in addition to the information listed above

Working Hours

Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position

• Flexible work schedule

Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours… 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Overtime may be required

Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

Holidays and Leave

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays). Annual paid leave, special leave, bereavement leave, childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies by employment status and company).
