Job Description

■Recruitment Background:
The Fast Retailing Group is advancing the “mainstreaming of e-commerce” as a cornerstone of our retail transformation efforts to ensure customers can shop conveniently and enjoyably anytime, anywhere. As we aim to become the No. 1 brand most loved by customers worldwide, the growth of our e-commerce business is essential. The Global Digital Commerce Department, which is responsible for driving our global e-commerce business, is spearheading initiatives such as e-commerce business transformation, rollout to overseas markets, and business development that bridges physical stores and e-commerce.

■Department Overview:
The mission of the Global e-Commerce Management Strategy Team, to which you will be assigned, is to identify challenges in the Group’s global e-commerce business, develop and implement action plans to resolve them, and drive transformation centered on e-commerce to realize a “Global One” approach and “Management by All” where every action contributes to customer satisfaction.
Based on this mission, the team is responsible for the following functions and roles:
(1) Management Control: Formulating Group-wide and global budgets, managing budget vs. actual performance, and monitoring KPIs
(2) Identification and Resolution of Management Issues: Identifying cross-functional challenges—including business planning/merchandising, inventory, production, logistics, marketing, and IT—and formulating and executing solutions
(3) Data: Providing data analysis and reporting necessary for identifying business challenges
(4) Executive Development: Planning and executing talent development initiatives to strengthen the Group’s and global e-commerce management structure
(5) IT Strategy and Planning: Formulating and executing product strategies for the e-commerce platform with a focus on business growth

■Job Description:
For this opening, we are seeking a candidate for the (5) IT Strategy position to lead the planning and execution of product strategies for our e-commerce platform. The specific role will be determined during the selection process based on your interests and suitability.

・You will lead the development of business plans for digital solutions—such as the mobile apps and online stores for UNIQLO and GU, as well as the back-end business systems supporting these online stores—and the launch of IT products required for new services; you will also lead the formulation of necessary metrics and KPIs, as well as the UI/UX design and feature development of these products.
・Specifically, the following responsibilities are anticipated:
 ・Maximizing the number of app users and purchases by designing customer experiences both in-store and online
 ・Maximizing the number of online store users and purchases
 ・Designing user experiences based on data analysis and user interviews
 • Enhancing the usability of existing products and implementing growth hacking strategies
 ・Expanding the value we provide by introducing new services and features
 ・Requirement consolidation, definition, and screen design in product development
 
・The Job Description may change depending on departmental transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties related to each department within the headquarters.

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・The following experience with large-scale B2C IT products
 - Experience directing projects from service planning through to release
 - Experience directing development teams
 - Experience collaborating with numerous stakeholders
・TOEIC score of 700 or higher, or equivalent English proficiency
 *Please include your TOEIC score, business English experience, study abroad experience, etc.

■ Desirable Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・UX design based on customer journey mapping
・Experience using mockup tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision, Prott, etc.)
・Experience in online/offline marketing
・Experience leading cross-departmental projects
・Experience in business planning
・Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership
・Experience participating in global rollouts
・Experience in in-house development

Work Conditions

■Company Name: Fast Retailing Co., Ltd.
■Employment Type: Full-time Employee
■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 8.64–15.00 million yen (Monthly Salary: 540,000–830,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work hours
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–8:00 PM; Overtime may be required

Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion
