Job Description

■Recruitment Background
GU is the second brand of the Fast Retailing Group. With the brand message “YOUR FREEDOM: The freedom to reinvent yourself,” we operate our business with the mission of energizing everyone through the power of fashion. While prioritizing sustainability, we aim to provide trendy, stylish, and highly practical products at affordable prices, with the goal of becoming a fashion brand that is supported and loved globally alongside UNIQLO.
By offering global master trends to customers with Japanese quality at affordable prices, we have begun to be accepted as a brand loved worldwide. To realize our vision of becoming the No. 1 global fashion brand, we are accelerating store openings both domestically and internationally while driving forward various transformations—including the establishment of a new Product Division in New York in September 2023, which serves as the cornerstone of our product development, and the opening of a flagship store in New York’s SoHo in October 2024.We are seeking individuals who can contribute to our business growth by supporting new store launches, providing operational support to our global operations, and driving store transformation.

■ Department Overview
The Global Store Operations Transformation Department serves as a bridge between stores—the source of customer satisfaction and sales—and headquarters. With a mission to provide a comfortable and convenient customer experience that delights our customers, as well as an environment where store managers and sales associates on the front lines can focus on their business, the department drives transformations across all store operations in every country worldwide.
The Global Store Operations Transformation Department comprises three functions: “Transformation,” “New Store Openings,” and “Business Support.”

(1) Operations Transformation
To achieve highly efficient store management and enhance the customer experience through the use of technologies such as RFID and self-checkout, the department collaborates with a wide range of departments, including IT, to promote the implementation of new systems in stores and the digitization of operations.

(2) New Store Division
We treat the opening of a new store as the launch of a new business. By collaborating with store managers, area managers, and various headquarters departments, we drive the development of opportunities and the resolution of challenges to ensure the success of this business launch. We create winning strategies by formulating store concepts and marketing strategies, as well as executing and analyzing sales plans.

(3) Business Support
We identify operational challenges at stores in each country and, in collaboration with headquarters departments, drive transformations in work styles and business processes, as well as promote horizontal deployment across all global markets, to enable all stores to achieve highly efficient operations with a lean, elite team.

■ Job Description
For this position, your specific initial assignment will be determined through ongoing discussions during the selection process, based on your experience and career aspirations. However, within one of the following areas—① Transformation, ② New Store Development, or ③ Business Support—you will consistently adopt a customer-centric approach, take the initiative, and lead the entire process from on-site implementation to results-based validation and systemization.
