Job Description
■Recruitment Background
Fast Retailing continues to evolve its supply chain as a core component of its business operations to ensure the stable and sustainable delivery of LifeWear to customers worldwide. As our global business growth accelerates, it is essential to evolve and develop our supply chain while managing ever-increasing volumes.
For this position, we are seeking individuals who will use engineering as a starting point to go beyond mere equipment implementation and tackle business and management challenges, ultimately supporting our future global business expansion.
■ Department Overview
As the Group aims to grow from a scale of 3 trillion yen to 10 trillion yen, the Global Supply Chain Management Department is an organization dedicated to designing and evolving the supply chain—which underpins business growth—as the core of our management. Our mission is to continue delivering world-class logistics seamlessly and stably, even as the volume of goods continues to increase.
Through practical engineering work—such as the design, launch, stable operation, and advancement of automated warehouses in large-scale facilities—we place a strong emphasis on going beyond mere equipment implementation. We focus on structurally identifying business and management challenges, resolving them through systematic solutions, and driving business growth.
■Job Description
Driven by the need to enhance logistics capabilities resulting from expanding overseas sales, our automated warehouses continue to evolve worldwide by incorporating the latest automation technologies. In this role, leveraging your technical expertise, you will directly address business and management challenges and lead the creation of warehouses that remain operational without downtime caused by issues or malfunctions through the following tasks:
・Develop medium- to long-term maintenance plans based on the premise of stable equipment operation, and consistently drive the process from investment and budget planning to organizational design and execution
・Through response to equipment issues and root cause analysis, implement permanent solutions—including predictive maintenance, equipment upgrades, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies—as institutionalized processes to improve equipment reliability and productivity
・Engage equipment vendors and relevant internal departments to translate technical evaluations into business decisions, while driving the standardization of operations and the establishment and rollout of global best practices
・Provide technical support from an engineering perspective for the construction, launch, and improvement of automated warehouses overseas, and drive the creation of systems that support stable operations and business growth
・For existing warehouses, analyze the current status from an engineering perspective and be responsible for planning and executing improvement measures with an eye toward business growth.
■Career Path
Starting with hands-on engineering work at domestic automated warehouses, you will leverage your technical expertise to tackle business and management challenges and contribute to the transformation of the entire supply chain. In the future, you will have opportunities to take on challenges such as launching new automated warehouses—including those overseas—and advancing the sophistication of the overall logistics system.
After joining the company, we expect you to build on your experience in domestic warehouses to expand your role into one that involves cross-site decision-making, evolving your career beyond engineering into a role that drives business growth.
*The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to various headquarters departments due to department transfers or organizational changes.
