Job Description

■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing Group (hereinafter “FR”) aims to transform every aspect of its integrated supply chain—from “material procurement, planning, design, production, to sales”—and become the world’s No. 1 “information-driven manufacturing and retail company.” As a result, it is imperative for the Finance division to build a management foundation that can flexibly adapt to and lead this business transformation.

Furthermore, to respond immediately to accelerating business expansion and overseas expansion, we need not only to streamline and standardize finance operations by maximizing the use of digital technologies—such as the automation of routine and repetitive tasks and the utilization of AI—but also to fundamentally restructure the global finance organization and its functional roles. We are seeking candidates to help drive these initiatives forward.

■Department Overview
As a member of the Finance Department, you will drive end-to-end initiatives—from identifying challenges to planning projects, evaluating solutions, and designing and implementing new processes—to build world-class finance operations and organizational structures.Working collaboratively with various finance business units, the IT department, and external vendors, you will launch transformation projects based on challenges identified within the finance domain. You will aim to achieve global-scale advancement and efficiency by restructuring and standardizing global business processes using cutting-edge technologies (AI and IT solutions).

■Job Description
As a candidate for a core leadership role in global BPR and DX initiatives across accounting, finance, and corporate planning, you will lead the transformation of finance systems, operations, and organizational structures. You will be responsible for the entire process—from identifying and analyzing fundamental challenges to planning, proposing solutions, executing initiatives, and coordinating with global stakeholders.
・Cross-functional analysis of challenges, visualization, and redesign of business processes in the accounting, finance, and corporate planning domains
・Planning, developing, and driving specific transformation initiatives, and leading change management across the entire global organization
・Designing finance operations to support new business models and e-commerce initiatives, and collaborating with finance departments in each country
・Planning and implementing AI-driven initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and sophistication
・Planning and driving the implementation and renewal of IT solutions (such as ERP, RPA, BI, and other automation platforms)
・Planning and driving the development and standardization of business processes and data infrastructure that serve as the foundation for AI/IT solution implementation
・Visualizing and managing the progress of transformation projects across the entire global finance function, and reporting to stakeholders

Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to various headquarters departments due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.

■Career Path
In addition to functional departments within the Finance Division—such as Accounting, Finance, Corporate Planning, Tax, and Procurement Management—the role involves close collaboration with front-line operations (e.g., retail stores and e-commerce) and IT, allowing you to develop flexible and diverse skills and build a varied career path. In the future, there may be opportunities for transfer to other finance departments or overseas assignments.

■Attractive Aspects of the Position
The areas requiring transformation span a wide range—from core finance functions such as accounting, finance, and business planning to data integration and KPI development with front-end operations like retail stores and e-commerce—allowing you to engage with finance operations from various perspectives. Regarding the utilization of digital technologies—which are essential for driving this transformation—we are actively promoting the use of RPA, BI tools, and generative AI, with the goal of achieving further automation and sophistication based on ERP package systems such as SAP.
Furthermore, as we identify challenges in finance operations across different countries and roll out and establish new processes, we collaborate closely with local finance departments and shared service centers both domestically and internationally, providing abundant opportunities to work on a global scale.
In an environment where you can focus on transformation rather than being bogged down by routine tasks, you will be able to enhance your multidisciplinary expertise in finance, digital technology, transformation, and global operations while exercising autonomy and influencing the design and rollout of global standards.
