Job Description

■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing Group (hereinafter “FR”) aims for a transformation of every aspect of its integrated supply chain—from “material sourcing, planning, design, production, and sales”—to become an “information-driven manufacturing and retail industry,” a new business model unlike any other in the world.
To promptly respond to accelerating business growth and overseas expansion, it is urgent to build a management foundation that can flexibly adapt to and lead business transformations in the finance and accounting domains. We are currently restructuring the very nature of finance operations and organization. We are seeking individuals who can drive the efficiency and standardization of global finance operations by maximizing the use of digital technology, as well as promote fundamental transformations of the finance organization and its functions.

■ Department Overview
The Global Finance Services division, to which you will be assigned, handles the end-to-end planning, promotion, implementation, and operational maintenance of global projects—including transformation and new system implementation—across the FR Group’s entire finance and accounting domain. We launch transformation projects based on challenges within the finance domain, reconstruct and standardize global business processes using solutions optimized for the FR Group’s business objectives, and aim to achieve the advancement and efficiency of finance operations worldwide.

■Job Description
You will lead fundamental transformation projects for accounting operations utilizing digital technology across the Group’s global accounting, finance, and management planning functions. Specifically, the role involves:
・Identifying and organizing challenges within the accounting, finance, or strategic planning domains, or cross-departmental issues
・Planning, developing, and driving accounting transformation projects based on identified challenges, and leading change management across the entire global organization
・Proposing and testing finance processes and system configurations to support new business and e-commerce initiatives, and collaborating with finance departments in each country
・Planning project implementation for new system features; analyzing current operations; designing target workflows; consolidating business requirements and translating them into system requirements; managing the progress of various tests; and leading user acceptance testing
*The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to various headquarters departments due to department transfers or organizational changes.

■Career Path
In addition to functional departments within the Finance Division—such as Accounting, Finance, Corporate Planning, Tax, and Procurement Management—you will also have deep involvement with front-line operations (e.g., stores and e-commerce) and IT, allowing you to develop flexible and diverse skills and build a varied career path. In the future, there may be opportunities for transfer to other finance teams or overseas assignments.

■Attractive Aspects of the Position
The scope of transformation extends from core finance functions such as accounting, finance, and business planning to data integration with front-end operations and KPI development, allowing you to engage with finance operations from various angles.
The use of digital technology is essential to this transformation, and we are actively promoting the use of applications ranging from ERP package systems like SAP to RPA and BI tools.
Furthermore, identifying challenges in finance operations outside Japan and rolling out and establishing new processes require close collaboration with country representatives and shared service centers both domestically and internationally, offering abundant opportunities to work on a global scale (including domestic and international business trips, as well as the potential for future overseas assignments).
You will gain experience driving transformation from a position akin to that of an internal consultant, including identifying and analyzing core issues, planning and proposing BPR and DX projects, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
