Job Description

GU still faces many challenges on its path to becoming a true global brand.We are seeking a Creative Manager to join us in advancing GU’s global challenge—delivering maximum fashion enjoyment through a minimal number of SKUs and affordable prices—by driving transformations across all aspects of the apparel business. This includes building a stronger management team through the recruitment and development of diverse talent; enhancing the quality of products and styling; creating shopping environments that make it easy for customers to shop; improving the accuracy of inventory and sales forecasts; and establishing a flexible system for additional production.

■ Department Overview
The Global Marketing Department consists of five teams: Product Marketing, Social Marketing, Creative, PR, and Store Marketing. We are involved in every process from the product planning and development stage until the product reaches the customer’s hands, handling everything from marketing strategy formulation to execution in a seamless, end-to-end manner.The mission of the Creative Team, to which you will be assigned, is to lead content development from both a brand and customer perspective to diversify and enhance the information we deliver to our customers. This is a highly global and challenging environment where you will collaborate with top-tier external creators from around the world, and the content you develop will be rolled out globally.

■Job Description
You will work with internal and external stakeholders across all media—including websites, in-store promotional materials, key visuals, and editorial content—to drive the development of GU’s brand image and customer acquisition strategies. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

・Formulating communication plans, creating concepts for the corresponding creative assets, and developing and executing specific creative direction
・Managing creative guidelines
・Developing and producing fashion creative content in collaboration with external partners
・Providing detailed direction and making decisions on-site during photo shoots
・Managing all stages of the content production process, including internal and external coordination, scheduling, and cost management

*The Job Description may change depending on department transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties relevant to each department within the headquarters.

・You may expand your scope of responsibilities through rotations within the marketing field, such as assuming management roles within the marketing organization (promotion to team leader or department head) or being assigned overseas to lead marketing operations in various countries.

Qualifications

■Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・At least 5 years of experience in planning, developing, and supervising creative content at a publishing company, advertising agency, creative agency, or similar organization.
・Ability to provide detailed creative direction to external partners and manage project progress
・Strong information processing skills and the ability to multitask
・Ability to identify fashion insights and social trends and incorporate them into creative work
・Strong customer focus, combined with the flexibility to embrace change while prioritizing the essence of the matter

■ Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC score of 700 or higher is preferred)

Full-time Employee (Permanent position, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.56 million yen – 12.06 million yen (Monthly Salary: 410,000 yen – 670,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (※All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, not limited to the above.

Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work hours
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Flexible hours…6:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–8:00 PM (Overtime may apply)

Based on the working hours of the employee’s department, with the decision left to the employee

■ Holidays and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are working days) Annual paid leave, special leave (including bereavement leave), childcare and nursing care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
