To further evolve our unique business model—which allows customers to enjoy fashion to the fullest with a minimal number of SKUs and unbeatable prices—we urgently need to strengthen our marketing structure to reach the world by leveraging digital capabilities. We are seeking talent to play a central role in this effort and drive global growth with a sense of urgency.
■ Department Overview
The Global Marketing Department consists of the Product Marketing Team (covering Product Marketing, Store Marketing, Creative, and Digital Marketing), the Social Marketing Team, and the PR Team. We are involved in every process from product planning and development to delivery to the customer, handling everything from marketing strategy formulation to execution in a seamless, end-to-end manner.The mission of the Product Marketing Team (Digital Marketing Division), to which you will be assigned, is to design communication strategies through in-store promotional materials and merchandising to contribute to individual stores, promote the creation of new experiential value through the integration of physical and e-commerce channels, and convey GU’s brand message, “Your Freedom.” In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing initiatives focused on customer acquisition (primarily through advertising and communication via digital channels).
■ Job Description
You will lead the evolution of GU’s global digital marketing.
To achieve “maximizing customer acquisition through big data” and “maximizing the ROI of digital marketing,” you will serve as the digital advertising lead across various channels (including Google, Meta, TikTok, X, and numerous other platforms and media), handling everything from strategy development to execution and optimization in an end-to-end manner. Specifically, your responsibilities will include the following:
・Budget planning and optimization for digital marketing overall
・Collaborating with stakeholders for each promotional product to execute short-, medium-, and long-term product marketing activities
・Proposing distribution channels and target audiences for digital advertising (particularly performance marketing) aimed at driving brand awareness and sales, as well as executing initiatives and implementing the PDCA cycle from effectiveness verification to improvement
・Negotiating and liaising with advertising agencies and other partner companies
We expect you to quickly adapt to the ever-changing business landscape, accurately identify what GU should be selling right now, and use data to determine what is currently selling well, all while executing dynamic advertising and communication strategies. You will also have the opportunity to develop entirely new customer approaches and content that do not rely on price-based incentives such as discounts or coupon distribution.

After joining the company, you will be responsible for the practical implementation of store traffic generation initiatives (digital advertising). However, through evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives, identifying challenges, and resolving them, we expect you to take on the challenge of formulating overall marketing strategies—considering what is necessary for GU to become indispensable to customers—and enhancing GU’s branding. Furthermore, as a global headquarters, there will be opportunities to expand your scope of responsibility globally, such as rolling out best practices from Japan to overseas operations.

・5+ years of practical experience in digital marketing at a business company, advertising agency, or media company
・At least 3 years of hands-on experience in direct customer communication, covering the entire process from hypothesis building and scenario creation to execution and effectiveness verification
・3+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience in digital advertising
■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in a leadership role driving projects or teams
・Experience in planning and executing integrated media strategies that effectively combine offline and online media
・Knowledge of data platforms and architecture, as well as experience with various digital marketing infrastructure tools (e.g., Google Analytics, AppFlyer)
・Experience in query creation, data extraction, and analysis
・TOEIC score of 700 or higher (able to handle business-level email correspondence; conversational and presentation skills are a plus)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.56–8.62 million yen (Monthly Salary: 410,000–540,000 yen)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance; overtime pay provided based on grade
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on our company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures above

・Flexible Work Hours: Standard daily working hours of 8 hours, 1-hour break, core hours from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, flexible hours from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM; overtime work may be required
・Supervisory staff: Working hours are generally based on the department’s schedule and are left to the employee’s discretion
