Job Description
■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing Group (hereinafter “FR Group”) aims to transcend the traditional retail framework, transform its business model into a “Digital Consumer Retail Company,” and become the world’s leading apparel group.
Within this framework, we have identified globalization and digital transformation as top priorities and are working to enhance the level of digital marketing both within the FR Group and globally, as well as to build the infrastructure and platforms necessary for digital marketing. We are seeking individuals who can prioritize all digital channels (owned, earned, and paid) and drive the implementation and transformation of “customer-centric marketing”—based on customer feedback and data—on a global scale.
■Department Overview
The Global Digital Marketing Department drives the evolution of digital marketing on a global scale to enhance customer satisfaction and deliver new shopping experiences by providing each customer with the most relevant information. The department consists of three teams: the “Global Business Development Team,” the “Social Media Marketing Team,” and the “Customer Acquisition and CRM Team.” This position is intended for assignment to the “Customer Acquisition and CRM Team.”
■Job Description
The Data Infrastructure Team, to which you will be assigned, aims to build and ensure the stable operation of a world-class digital marketing infrastructure by collaborating with the IT Division’s Digital Transformation Team and the department at the U.S. headquarters responsible for leveraging the latest technologies in Europe and the U.S. and promoting partnerships with partner companies. In this role, you will lead and manage projects while collaborating with key personnel at GHQ—who are responsible for driving customer acquisition across all FR Group brands, channels, and countries—as well as with project leaders for company-wide initiatives.
Your specific initial assignment will be determined through ongoing discussions during the selection process, based on your experience and career aspirations, but you are expected to work on the following areas:
(1) Planning and leading digital marketing systems necessary for business growth during our fourth founding phase
・Working with solutions for the “chaos map” in the MarTech domain—including DMP, CDP, MA, BI, and AI—to propose new projects that drive company-wide operational transformation and growth, secure budgets, and launch initiatives. You will monitor and control project progress, formulate project plans, identify challenges, conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, explore strategic directions based on hypotheses, procure external resources, negotiate with business partners, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners while managing staff.
(2) Driving business transformation projects that leverage the latest digital marketing technologies from Europe and the U.S.
・In collaboration with other business departments and overseas divisions such as the U.S., lead and manage projects that implement cutting-edge technologies and drive results in the rapidly evolving fields of e-commerce and digital marketing. This includes customer acquisition and nurturing; promoting retention through both paid external advertising and the company’s owned media; encouraging the use of e-commerce and mobile apps; improving product conversion rates and average order value; and reducing costs and enhancing efficiency in the production and management of content and assets used for marketing communications.
(3) Leading and Managing the Digital Marketing Aspects of the FR Group’s Standard E-Commerce Platform Refresh Project
・Lead and manage projects—in collaboration with channel managers and other departments—to support the implementation and operational stabilization of the digital marketing infrastructure as part of GHQ’s efforts, in conjunction with the renewal of e-commerce infrastructure in existing markets or the introduction of such infrastructure in new markets.
・The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.
■ Career Path
・Upon joining the company, you will initially drive projects as described above. However, in the medium to long term, we expect you to take on end-to-end responsibilities—from formulating digital marketing strategies for the entire FR Group to implementing those initiatives—in line with your experience and career aspirations.
・In the future, you will have the opportunity to take on a wide range of roles, including General Manager or Leader of Global Business Planning and Business Development, Manager in the digital marketing field, as well as overseeing business planning and business development at overseas offices, managing digital marketing operations, or serving as the head of the digital marketing division.
