The R&D Department, which includes designers and patternmakers, is a team of experts dedicated to bringing our “LifeWear” concept to life through products. For this position, we are seeking a designer or patternmaker specializing in women’s underwear to help further evolve our clothing production.

The R&D Department, to which you will be assigned, is a team of experts dedicated to bringing the “LifeWear” concept to life through products. Our in-house designers and patternmakers are active across five global locations centered in Tokyo (Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles).We plan products that align with people’s living environments, lifestyles, and the times, and translate designs based on real-world needs into the “LifeWear” concept. We aim to continuously provide thoughtfully designed, simple clothing that improves and enriches people’s lives. Through our clothing, we strive to continually drive innovation in the world.

Job Description

• Designer or patternmaker for women’s undergarments

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Designer Position

— At least 5 years of experience designing women’s undergarments
— Experience managing the entire process from product planning through design to mass production while overseeing multiple items (experience designing products independently, placing orders with factories, and producing the final products)
—Excellent communication skills in Japanese or English

• Patternmaker Position

— At least 7 years of experience creating specifications and patterns for women’s lingerie
— Work experience using CAD (patternmaking)
—Excellent communication skills in Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N1)

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Patternmaker

— Work experience with CAD (grading), Excel, and Illustrator
— English proficiency: conversational level (TOEIC 700 or higher)

Employment Type

Contract Employee (Fixed-term, with a 3-month probationary period)

Annual Salary

• Annual Salary Range: 4.25 million yen – 7.40 million yen (Monthly Salary: 280,000 yen – 490,000 yen)
• Allowances: Commuting allowance, overtime pay, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
• Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
• Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)

*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

Working Hours

Either the standard work hours system or the flex-time system

• Standard Work Hours System

8 hours of actual work and 1-hour break between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

• Flexible Work Hours System

Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00–14:00
Flexible hours: 6:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Overtime may be required

Holidays and Leave

Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays), annual paid leave, special and bereavement leave, childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*Whether public holidays are considered days off in addition to the days off listed above will be specified individually in the contract for part-time employees.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted during the first and second half-year periods (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs).
