Job Description

To become a truly global brand, GU still faces many challenges.We seek a Social Media Marketing Manager to join us in advancing GU's unique global challenge: maximizing fashion enjoyment through minimal SKUs and pricing. This requires transformation across all aspects of the apparel business—building a stronger management team through diverse talent acquisition and development, enhancing product and styling quality, creating shopper-friendly stores, improving quantity/sales planning accuracy, and establishing agile additional production systems.


■Department Overview
The Global Marketing Department's mission is to enhance our presence domestically and globally through marketing activities under the brand message "YOUR FREEDOM."
The Social Marketing Team, where you will be assigned, aims to develop entirely new approaches and content that do not rely on price benefits like discounts or coupon distribution. This is achieved through marketing utilizing various SNS channels, striving to realize the marketing necessary for GU to become indispensable to customers.

■Job Description
You will be responsible for the strategy and operation of SNS accounts, including influencer initiatives, to achieve the highest volume of conversation on SNS within Japan.
Additionally, you will contribute to strengthening SNS marketing for overseas operations by sharing and deploying successful case studies and know-how from the domestic market to marketing teams in other countries and regions as part of the Global Headquarters (GHQ).

Initially, you will be responsible for one or both of the following tasks. We expect you to leverage the experience and insights gained from these roles to contribute to the formulation of overall marketing strategies.

(1) Planning and operation of SNS accounts (Instagram (+Facebook), X, TikTok)
・Weekly selection of featured products based on business news, market conditions, and SNS trends; translating selections into detailed briefs
・Communication with production vendors (issuing banner production instructions, quality checks, revision handling)
・Post scheduling and final confirmation
・Preparing weekly and monthly reporting
・Verifying and analyzing distribution results ・Listing challenges for future improvement, revising posting plans, and generating new ideas

(2) Influencer Campaign Promotion
・Strategy development and effectiveness verification based on channel-specific insight metrics
・Design and execution of gifting and sampling campaigns
・Influencer discovery and development
・Planning and operation of the official fan community (GU MANIA)

Qualifications

■Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・3+ years of experience planning SNS promotions, influencer marketing, and managing/analyzing SNS accounts
・3+ years of hands-on experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
・3+ years of end-to-end practical experience in direct customer communication, from hypothesis building to scenario creation, execution, and effectiveness verification

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in a role driving projects or teams
・Experience managing social media channels other than Instagram
・Experience in query creation, data extraction, and analysis
・Knowledge of data platforms and architecture, along with experience with various digital marketing infrastructure tools (e.g., Google Analytics, AppsFlyer)
・TOEIC score of 700 or higher (Business-level email communication required. Conversation and presentation skills preferred)

Work Conditions

Full-time Employee (Indefinite term, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: ¥6.56 million - ¥7.04 million (Monthly Salary: ¥410,000 - ¥440,000)
・Allowances: Commuting allowance; Overtime allowance based on grade
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (payment and amount determined based on company performance and personnel evaluation)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluation)
*Salary will be determined based on company policy, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, in addition to the above.

■Working Hours
Flextime system, or managerial/supervisory role
・Flextime System: Standard daily working hours 8 hours, 1-hour break, Core time 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Flexible time 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Overtime work required
・Supervisory staff: Based on the working hours of the assigned department, determined by the employee

■Holidays & Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are workdays), Special Leave (8 days granted per half-year, separate from paid leave), Paid Leave, Bereavement Leave
