Job Description
■Recruitment Background
The Fast Retailing (hereinafter “FR”) Group is undergoing a company-wide transformation to create a “new industry” based on the “LifeWear” concept, which transcends traditional industry boundaries. We are seeking individuals who can vigorously drive this company-wide transformation with a focus on “organization and people.”For approximately the first year after joining, you will serve as an HR Business Partner (HRBP) in one of the departments at the Global Headquarters (GHQ) in Japan. After that, we expect you to take on a leadership role—either as a Human Resources Manager or a candidate for such a position—at our overseas subsidiaries and production offices in China (Shanghai), Vietnam, Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh (hereinafter referred to as “overseas locations”).
■Job Overview
As the Global Headquarters (GHQ), FR’s Japan Headquarters is tasked with strongly driving the global business growth of the FR Group and its various brands, which operate approximately 3,600 stores across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The successful candidate will first join the Japan Headquarters to learn the GHQ’s work style and FR’s HR values, and will then be assigned to an overseas office—such as a production facility—to lead all aspects of HR management in that region.
■Specific Details
1) Duties at the Japan Headquarters (approximately 1 year)
As an HRBP, you will serve as a key liaison between the HR Department and individual business units, coordinating with all HR functions—including recruitment, labor relations, performance evaluation and compensation, relocation procedures, and payroll. While assigned to a specific business unit, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of Fast Retailing Group’s HR operations by performing the following tasks:
・Organizational design, workforce planning, and staffing to realize departmental strategies
・Planning and executing personnel transfers that balance the company’s business needs with individual career goals
・Measuring organizational culture and employee engagement, and developing and implementing solutions to identified issues
・Handling labor-related matters
2) Role at Overseas Offices
Assuming you have mastered the duties described in 1), you will be assigned to an overseas office. The HR team at the overseas office handles all HR functions, including not only HRBP roles but also recruitment, labor affairs, payroll, and relocation procedures. You will lead HR transformations at the overseas office in coordination with the HR teams at the Japan headquarters and other overseas offices.
*The Job Description may change depending on department transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters.
■ Future Career Path
Depending on your abilities and preferences, we regularly facilitate transfers between overseas offices, including Japan, to provide new challenges. Furthermore, opportunities to engage in management—whether in the areas of people, assets, or finance—are available both domestically and internationally, extending beyond the HR department. This is an environment where your potential is limitless, depending on your abilities, aptitude, and motivation.
