Job Description

■Recruitment Background
UNIQLO, a core company of the Fast Retailing Group, began hiring people with disabilities in 2001 and has nearly achieved its goal of “employing at least one person with a disability per store” since fiscal year 2012. As of 2022, the Fast Retailing Group’s employment rate for people with disabilities in Japan stands at 4.9%*, significantly exceeding Japan’s statutory employment rate of 2.3%.Furthermore, our employment efforts extend beyond Japan to a global scale, with approximately 1,500 staff members working worldwide. We are currently seeking a Disability Employment Specialist to take end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of the process—from recruiting individuals with disabilities to work in our stores across Japan to creating a work environment where they can work with peace of mind. *As of June 1, 2022

■ Department Overview
The Disability Employment Specialist position is part of the Labor Relations Team within the Human Resources Department and is managed by a team leader and three team members.

■ Job Description
You will be responsible for recruiting individuals with disabilities for our stores across Japan, monitoring their work conditions at each store, and addressing environmental improvements and challenges—both for the employees themselves and in store operations. You will work collaboratively with store staff and employment support agencies to create a comfortable working environment tailored to each individual’s specific circumstances.

Qualifications

■ Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Practical HR experience related to the employment of people with disabilities at a business company

■Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities
・Experience in recruiting people with disabilities, managing their employment, and supporting their retention
・Business-level English communication skills (TOEIC score of 700 or higher)

Work Conditions

Full-time employee (permanent position, with a 3-month probationary period)

■Annual Salary
・Annual Salary Range: 6.72–10.00 million yen (Monthly Salary: 420,000–570,000 yen)
・Allowances: Regional allowance, commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All subject to company regulations)
・Bonuses: Semi-annual bonuses twice a year, year-end bonus (eligibility and amount determined based on company performance and performance evaluations)
・Promotions twice a year (determined based on performance evaluations)
*Salary will be determined based on company regulations, taking into account your previous annual income and experience, and is not limited to the figures listed above.

■ Working Hours
Flexible work hours or managerial/supervisory position
・Flexible work schedule
Standard daily working hours: 8 hours; Break: 1 hour
Core hours: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Flexible hours…6:00–9:00 and 14:00–20:00; overtime work may be required

・Supervisors
Based on the working hours of the employee’s department; left to the employee’s discretion

■ Days Off and Leave
Two days off per week (Saturdays and Sundays; national holidays are considered workdays) Annual paid leave, special leave (including leave for weddings and bereavement), childcare and family care leave systems, etc.
*In addition to paid leave, special leave is granted in the first and second halves of the fiscal year (the number of days granted varies depending on employment status and the company to which the employee belongs)
