GU, one of the Fast Retailing Group’s flagship brands, aims to become a true global brand by creating hit products that capture major trends, preventing stockouts of best-selling items, and delivering products and services that exceed customer expectations—all under the brand message “YOUR FREEDOM: The freedom to reinvent yourself.”
GU still faces many challenges on its path to becoming a true global brand. We are seeking someone to join us in advancing GU’s unique brand value—enabling customers to enjoy fashion to the fullest with a minimal number of SKUs and affordable prices—on the global stage through e-commerce. This involves driving transformations across all aspects of the apparel business, including building a stronger management team through the recruitment and development of diverse talent; enhancing the quality of products and styling; creating shopping environments that make it easy for customers to shop; improving the accuracy of inventory and sales planning; and establishing a flexible system for additional production.

■Department Overview
The Japan Digital Commerce Department, to which you will be assigned, operates GU’s e-commerce site—the world’s largest flagship store—balancing sales maximization with branding, and aims to achieve sustainable and disruptive growth for GU’s overall business.
Within this department, you will be assigned to the Site Management Team, which is responsible for formulating overall e-commerce strategies, planning, production, and operations. You will drive projects in collaboration with various departments, including Marketing and Merchandising.

■Job Description
You will serve as a manager for GU’s owned digital channels (expected to include LINE, email newsletters, and/or app push notifications). Working in alignment with Corporate Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, IMD, Inventory Control, and Sales, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of your assigned area—from strategy formulation and the creation of actual production plans (seasonal, monthly, and weekly) to execution and review. The scope of your influence covers a business volume of tens of billions of yen per year.

Specific duties include the following:
・Channel Strategy Development: Based on data analysis of assigned channels, formulate strategies and tactics to achieve business revenue and profit targets and drive traffic from online to physical stores. Establish the necessary KPIs and develop specific tactics to achieve these goals.
・Content Planning and Production Direction: Interpret customer insights based on market and business conditions to plan and direct the production of 52 weeks of content designed to stimulate customer purchasing motivation.
・Distribution Design: Formulating and executing optimal distribution plans for each piece of content to improve distribution efficiency.
・Project Management: Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure execution according to the above schedule.
・PDCA Cycle: Implementing a weekly cycle covering distribution (A/B testing) design, production, configuration, data analysis, and review of business results. Formulating and executing short-, medium-, and long-term strategies based on clearly defined challenges and opportunities.
・Planning for the member base and next-generation services: In addition to regular email campaigns, plan services that delight customers and regularly propose improvements to the Fast Retailing IT department regarding email campaign design through the evolution of customer data management.

*The Job Description may change depending on department transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties related to each department within the headquarters.
*This is an environment where you can contribute to the company’s revenue growth by leveraging your experience within an open and communicative organization that encourages new challenges.
We will flexibly adjust your responsibilities based on your experience.

■ Career Path
Depending on your experience and skills, you will initially be assigned to work in a specific area. We expect you to subsequently expand your scope and lead a team. You will collaborate with various departments—including Corporate Strategy, IT, Marketing, Logistics, and the Customer Center—to acquire a broad range of knowledge and experience.
