Job Description

■Recruitment Background
GU, a major brand of the Fast Retailing Group, has grown since opening its first store in 2006 under the brand message “YOUR FREEDOM: The freedom to reinvent yourself,” leveraging its strengths of combining fashion with practicality and high quality with low prices. The brand has now expanded to a sales volume of 300 billion yen and aims for further growth toward 1 trillion yen in sales and evolution into a truly global brand.
To achieve these goals, in 2026 we appointed Francesco Risso—who has served as Creative Director for brands such as Prada and Marni and is highly acclaimed worldwide—as our Creative Director. We have begun enhancing the quality of our products and styling while strengthening our brand marketing communications to ensure they resonate globally.

During this phase of transformation, we are seeking a candidate who can lead the evolution of customer touchpoints—with a focus on e-commerce—and the development of our platform, driving business growth by maximizing customer acquisition for both physical stores and e-commerce.

■ Department Overview
The Japan Digital Commerce Department, to which you will be assigned, operates GU’s largest flagship store—its e-commerce site—and is an organization dedicated to driving business growth through sales expansion and enhanced brand value.
Within this department, you will be assigned to the Site Management Team, which is responsible for strategizing, planning, developing, and operating the entire e-commerce site. Working in collaboration with various departments—such as Marketing and Merchandising—the team works to enhance brand value, maximize customer traffic to both physical stores and the e-commerce site, and increase the number of fans (members and followers).

■Job Description
You will be responsible for managing GU’s owned digital channels (expected to include any or all of LINE, email newsletters, and app push notifications). Working in alignment with Corporate Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, IMD, Inventory Control, and Sales, you will be responsible for the entire end-to-end process—from formulating strategies for your assigned areas to creating actual production plans (seasonal, monthly, and weekly), executing them, and conducting post-campaign reviews. The scope of your impact covers a business volume of tens of billions of yen per year.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
・Channel Strategy Development: Based on data analysis of your assigned channels, develop strategies and tactics to achieve business sales and profit targets and drive traffic from online to physical stores. Establish the necessary KPIs and formulate specific tactics to meet these goals.
・Content Planning and Production Direction: Interpret customer insights based on market and business conditions, and plan and direct the production of a 52-week content calendar designed to stimulate customer purchasing motivation.
・Distribution Design: To improve distribution efficiency, formulate and execute optimal distribution plans for each piece of content.
・Project Management: Collaborate with relevant departments and manage the project to ensure execution according to the schedule outlined above.
・PDCA Cycle: Implementing a weekly cycle that includes campaign (A/B testing) design, production, configuration, data analysis, and review of business results. Formulating and executing short-, medium-, and long-term strategies based on clearly defined challenges and opportunities.
・Planning for the Member Base and Next-Generation Services: In addition to regular campaigns, plan services that delight customers and regularly propose improvement requests to Fast Retailing’s IT department regarding campaign design through the evolution of customer data management.

*The Job Description is subject to change within the scope of duties related to each department at headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational restructuring.
*This is an environment where you can contribute to the company’s revenue growth by leveraging your experience within an open and communicative organization that encourages new challenges. We will flexibly adjust the scope of responsibilities entrusted to you based on your experience.

■ Career Path
Depending on your experience and skills, you will initially focus on tasks within a specific area. Subsequently, we expect you to expand your scope and take on a leadership role within the team. You will collaborate with various departments—including Corporate Strategy, IT, Marketing, Logistics, and the Customer Center—allowing you to acquire a broad range of knowledge and experience. Depending on your preferences, you will have the opportunity to expand your scope of activity on a global stage by directing overseas e-commerce rollout projects beyond Japan.
