Job Description

■Recruitment Background
“Changing clothes, changing common sense, changing the world.” This is the Fast Retailing Group’s statement. Through “clothing”—an indispensable part of people’s lives around the world—we aim to become the most needed and beloved brand in the world. Under the LifeWear concept, we utilize an integrated process spanning from material sourcing to planning, production, and sales to offer unique products made with high-quality and functional materials at prices accessible to everyone. Our revenue has reached 3 trillion yen in the 40 years since our founding, and we have set a long-term goal of 10 trillion yen in revenue. This does not mean that revenue growth is an end in itself; rather, it signifies our commitment to delivering the services our customers seek at the highest level and becoming a company that improves society alongside our own growth. We view the current period of transformation as our “Fourth Founding,” and one of the drivers of this transformation is the utilization of technology.

In this role, as a Systems Architect at the Global Headquarters, you will be expected to plan and implement architectures based on the ideal shopping experience for customers worldwide and the ideal workflows for all employees. You will lead the entire process from planning to delivery in a seamless manner, collaborating not only with internal departments but also with partner companies possessing world-class technical capabilities, thereby contributing to the business growth of the entire group.

■ Department Overview
The Digital Business Transformation Services Department drives growth and innovation across the entire Fast Retailing Group through business transformation utilizing the latest technologies. The department is composed of members with diverse backgrounds, including engineers, data scientists, and project managers, who strive daily to create the best customer experience. We keep pace with technological advancements and enjoy the fusion of fashion and technology, while valuing an environment where the entire department collaborates toward business growth and supports each other’s development.

This position is intended for experts who will not only determine system architecture and technologies to be used but also lead all aspects of system design, including development processes, migration strategies, and operational methods. As a core member of the Global Headquarters, you will also be responsible for devising and executing fundamental solutions to system challenges.

■Job Description
As a system architect within the development organization for various systems used across the Fast Retailing Group globally, you will be entrusted with end-to-end responsibility—from conceptualization in collaboration with business departments to system design, development, and delivery. You will engage in your work as an architect across a broad range of technical domains related to systems as a whole (from infrastructure to applications), rather than focusing on a specific field. Specifically, your responsibilities include the following:

・Defining ideal business processes based on a deep understanding of actual operations, and determining the scope and direction of systemization to align with those processes
・Designing systems that take into account the connections across a wide range of business functions, including product planning, SCM (planning, production, inventory, and logistics), retail/e-commerce, accounting, and HR
・Reaching consensus on system design with stakeholders across the aforementioned business domains
・Managing the development and delivery of the designed systems
・Providing technical support and guidance to development team members

In addition to the above, you will be expected to demonstrate cross-functional and technical leadership, including the formulation of company-wide technical standards and the selection of new technologies. You will continuously enhance the scalability, flexibility, and performance of company-wide systems expanding across global markets, contributing to the business growth of the entire group and the improvement of the customer experience.

*The Job Description may change within the scope of duties related to each department of the headquarters due to departmental transfers or organizational changes.
