Job Description
■Recruitment Background and Department Mission
Our corporate statement is “Change clothing, change common sense, change the world,” and our clothing design concept is “LifeWear” (clothing that enriches the lives of everyone—the ultimate everyday wear). Sustainability is crucial to realizing this vision and is one of our top management priorities.
The Sustainability Department is advancing various initiatives, including addressing human rights and environmental impacts within the supply chain; responding to global social issues such as climate change and natural capital; transitioning to a circular business model—including promoting the repair, reuse, and recycling of clothing; and engaging in social contribution activities. We are seeking individuals with experience and skills across diverse fields who resonate with our challenges as described above and are committed to advancing our mission together.
■ Department Overview
The Sustainability Department is organized into four teams based on their functions: Business and Social Issue Resolution, Factory Working Environment Transformation, Global Environmental Management, and Disclosure. This position is intended for the Factory Working Environment Transformation Team. The team’s mission is to promote mutual growth between FR and its partner companies by creating a vibrant working environment for everyone in the supply chain related to FR’s business, thereby contributing to the provision of products that customers can purchase with confidence.
■Job Description
You will be expected to perform the following duties:
・Monitoring working conditions at Fast Retailing’s production partners (contract factories) and addressing and preventing serious human rights violations through the hotline
・Implementing measures to create better working environments (such as planning and executing programs for harassment prevention, promoting women to management positions, and skill development)
・Improving supply chain transparency through factory information disclosure and communications on the Fast Retailing website
・Addressing social issues in the supply chain in collaboration with governments and international organizations
・The Job Description may change depending on departmental transfers or organizational restructuring, within the scope of duties relevant to each department at headquarters.
■ Career Path: Depending on your motivation and abilities, you may have the opportunity to gain experience working overseas or in other functions within the sustainability field.
