The Sustainability Department is promoting various initiatives, including addressing global-scale social issues such as human rights and environmental impact in the supply chain, climate change and natural capital, shifting to a recycling-oriented business model including the promotion of repair, reuse, and recycling of clothing, and social contribution activities. We are looking for people who have experience and skills in diverse fields, who share our challenges as described above, and who can promote our aspirations together.

■Department Overview
The Sustainability Department has four teams depending on their functions: Business and Social Problem Solving, Factory Labor Environment Transformation, Global Environmental Management, and Disclosure. The mission of the team is to promote mutual growth of FR and its partners by realizing a working environment in which all employees in the supply chain involved in FR's business can work with vitality, and to contribute to the provision of products that customers can purchase with peace of mind. Job Description
The following duties will be required of the candidate.
Correcting and preventing serious human rights violations at Fast Retailing's production partners (partner factories) through labor environment monitoring and hotlines.
Implement measures to create a better working environment (planning and implementing programs for harassment prevention, promotion of women to managerial positions, skill development, etc.)
Improve supply chain transparency through factory information disclosure and Fast Retailing's website.
Solving social issues in the supply chain in cooperation with governments and international organizations
Job Descriptions are subject to change within the scope of work related to each department of the headquarters as a result of departmental or organizational changes.

Career path: Depending on motivation and ability, the successful candidate may be able to gain experience working overseas or in other functions within the sustainability field.

■Required Experience/Skills/Abilities:
Experience working on human rights in the supply chain
Experience working with international organizations, government ministries, business organizations, research institutions, NPOs, NGOs, and other organizations in sustainability-related fields.
Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and to strongly promote projects on one's own


■Welcome experience, skills, and abilities
Legal knowledge of labor environment, labor issues, health and safety, etc.
Knowledge and experience in supply chain, especially in production plants

<Language Proficiency
Practical English communication skills are required as there will be daily communication with overseas members (e-mail and web meetings) and many meetings with overseas stakeholders outside of the company.

Annual salary
Annual salary range: 6.2-11.7 million yen (monthly salary: 390,000-650,000 yen)
Commuting allowance, overtime allowance, etc. (*All in accordance with our company's regulations)
Bonuses: Semiannual bonus twice a year, year-end bonus (whether or not to be paid and the amount will be decided according to the company's performance and personnel evaluation)
