Background of Recruitment
In order to reduce the environmental impact of our business and achieve a net positive environmental impact, we have set goals to achieve virtually zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, 90% reduction of emissions from energy use in our stores, main offices, and other facilities, and 20% reduction of emissions* from the production of raw materials, production of materials, and sewing of products by 2030. emissions* from the production of raw materials, materials, and sewing of products by 20% by 2030.
To achieve this goal, we are introducing renewable farming and ranching methods in the production of natural raw materials (cotton, wool, cashmere, etc.), which are hotspots of environmental impact in our supply chain, and restoring the natural environment to achieve raw material production with low greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the company is promoting the realization of net-positive business through nature-based solutions (NbS), such as Beyond Value Chain Mitigation, which is represented by carbon removal through reforestation. In this position, we are looking for a person with business experience and skills related to climate change and biodiversity who can promote NbS with us.

■Department Overview
The Sustainability Department has four teams: the Business and Social Problem Solving Linkage Team, the Factory Labor Environment Transformation Team, the Global Environmental Management Team, and the Disclosure Team. This position will be hired in the Global Environmental Management Team. The Global Environmental Management Team is responsible for planning and executing projects in the following five focus areas based on the Fast Retailing Group's environmental policy.
Addressing climate change
Improving energy efficiency
Water resource management
Waste management and resource efficiency
Chemical substance management

Job Description
The following duties are expected to be performed by the candidate
Develop strategies for NbS measures related to climate change and biodiversity
External disclosure and engagement for TNFD, SBT for Nature, etc.
Planning, implementation, and evaluation of reforestation and other nature restoration projects overseas
Planning/implementation/evaluation of introduction of renewable agriculture in cotton farms
Planning, implementation, and evaluation of low environmental impact production methods on wool and cashmere farms
Collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders including UN agencies and NGOs

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

Annual salary range: 7.84-12.9 million yen (monthly salary: 490,000-720,000 yen)
